Mafia 2 - I Left My Heart in San Francisco - Day 3

After the shocking events of the Day 2, spirits were very low. The remaining ten survivors milled around aimlessly, trying to make light conversation but finding it impossible. The threat of a killer among the group made trust between anyone almost impossible but, even so, there was some flirting going on between one man and a certain very sexy dame.

When the day faded and darkness set in, everyone made their way to their respective beds and settled down for the night. The sexy dame waited for the sounds to quiet around her. When she thought everyone else nearby was asleep, she stood quietly, readying herself for the planned rendezvous. She gave herself a quick appraisal with the small amount of moonlight available and began to adjust her torn blouse to cover herself...but then, with a twinkle in her eye she quickly changed her mind and instead, made sure to open the tear just a little bit. She made her way to a far corner of the room...and waited.

She didn't have to wait long. Soon a dark figure approached from the men's side of the room. As he moved closer and she realized it was indeed the man she awaited, she smiled.



"Well hello beautiful. Come here often?"

She laughed softly. "Only when I have a very good reason", she quipped.




The handsome man reached out and took her hand in his, brought it to his lips and kissed it. The woman drank in the gesture with a giddy heart. She was so engrossed in the romantic attention that she didn't notice two figures creeping up behind her. One of them clasped a hand over her mouth to silence her and each grabbed one of her arms, easily overpowering the woman.

The handsome man, known to his two cohorts as Baby Face Nelson, pulled something out of his pocket. He had fashioned the weapon earlier in the day. It was a garrote, made from a piece of piano wire from the baby grand in the great hall, and two sticks. He stepped behind the lovely lady, raised the instrument over her head and placed it around the front of her neck. He twisted the wire behind her neck and in a matter of minutes...

Tiff? Aww man, that sucks.

Alright, before I decide to pass out for the night, I think it is import to bring up a couple things concerning Kyle.

He had his votes on Dragonldy and Cam first round. I would imagine it was one of those two he investigated. Whichever it was, since he didn't vote for them in round two tells me that one of them is likely innocent, I am inclined to believe it was Cam since that is where Kyle's vote ended round one, but this isn't enough to clear him for me. I cannot be certain who he investigated.

Since he voted PhocQ, but retracted his vote tells me probably did not investigate PhocQ, If he found him guilty,there would be no reason to not vote him and he would not have retracted, And if he did investigate him, he and found him innocent, the would not have had a reason to vote for him anyways. So to me it follows that he did not investigate PhocQ, so we can't clear him yet.

I will have to go back and check with Tiff's posts here for a while to see what went on for her to make her a target.



As of now I think our main priorities should be looking at who voted Kyle, I am wondering who among Thian, PhocQ, Pete, Cam, and Stacie is/are mafia.

To me, stacie wouldn't really strike me up as a baddie though, HOWEVER, the hammer where it was convenient. Unsure of what to believe with it.

Cam, hasn't done anything. suspect for sure.
Pete, he's come around but I am finding his uncertainty a bit odd. He has floundered a bit with attempting to accuse dragonldy but as soon as she came back, he withdrew.

Fear of back lash? Potentially. I'll keep my vote here Pete until I see other things that strike out at me.

I can't believe you weren't on that lynch mandie. Avoiding lynches can be viewed as you know what the outcome of his lynch will be, and you don't want to get your hands dirty if there are 4 or 5 other townies who will incriminate themselves.

Well, as usual, We still had a day left to discuss, and yall lynched him, while I was still asleep, cause i woke up and the thread was locked. And Im glad I wasnt apart of that stupidity. It was stupid, what yall did, yall lynched the one person that can help us. Now we have to rely on ourselves, and from the track record so far in this game, .... we all have our heads up our asses and we are too lynch happy to take the time to analyze what we are doing.

Mandie, mistakes will happen. We move on, we learn. You believe Kyle was innocent? Please tell me why? What did he do that was innocent on day 2? Regardless of his role Right now, what did he absoluetly do that was completely innocent on day 2?

I didnt believe he was innocent but I wasnt ready to say he was GUILTY and LYNCH him.

Why should your name be off of that list, Thian? I have been wary of you for a while, and that doesn't really do much to ease my suspicions. I realize it might have been a joke, but an innocent person, to me, wouldn't even want to mess around with presenting false information. You were among those that voted for Kyle.

I am currently most concerned about Pete, Thian, Cam, and Dragonldy.


Tiffani suddenly dropped her suspicions of Dragonldy last round, when she finished the first round with a vote on her. She had also voted PhocQ early on, then voted with him. PhocQ later switched to Cam, and Cam almost got lynched.


I think we either need to test out Thian, Dragonldy or Pete. Thian feels to me like he is trying hard to get the dust flying and trying to scatter out votes, Dragonldy gets to wait comfortably on the edge of our minds, and Pete seems to play innocent well enough, but I can't shake the feeling he is playing us up, giving us a front of some sort.

Talk to Stacie about that hammer. We could have held off of that hammer for that day, but she did swoop in and hammer his coffin shut.

Out of these people that you have listed above DerB, Cam is the most suspicious to me. And I will tell you why, This entire game, he hasnt said shit really. I saw him post that he wasnt going to be home. I saw him post that he was home but hung over. I saw him post saying he was busy and would read through things later, and I saw him vote for Kyle.

This style of game play is too convienent for mafia. And it makes it easy for mafia to blend. Cam, you are number 1 on my suspect list because you are trying to blend in imo.

can I just ask why didn't Kyle at least try and warn us so we didn't lynch the detective. That was just stupid on his part. The reason I say this is because, yeah he didn't have to say he was the detective or the nurse but he was so close to being lynched he should have said something to let us know we would regret losing him.

looking at the votes, I'm not sure I see any reason to specifically look at any one person in particular. For one, I feel that Kyle made himself seem really fishy and did nothing to convince anyone otherwise. Even if all 3 Mafia voted for Kyle that means that 3 townies and/or the nurse had to have also been convinced to vote him, what this tells me is either the mafia did a really good job on helping push Kyle's lynch or people just didn't trust Kyle himself.

The only two I see as suspicious out of the people who voted for Kyle are Thian, Stacie and Cam.

Cam - for the reasons Mandie state, I think that actually makes since and is something worth noting

Stacie - the way she dropped that hammer a day early seems suspicious

however, I think that Thian did push for Kyle's lynch, even encouraging a bandwagon on him. I wonder if that is cause he had a feeling that Kyle was the detective. I don't know but if anyone did try and push for a lynch on someone and was able to be convincing I feel that Thian would be able to do it. Therefore...

I just think there is something fishy with the way you pushed for Kyle to go and I think derB might be right in that you are trying to scatter votes. What I thought was interesting and worth noting is that at the beginning of day 2 you voted for PhocQ, then a wagon started and you said it was time to get off of it. Trying to protect him? I just feel that if you weren't really suspicious of him, what was the point of that vote?

I think it is one thing to vote for people to try and get them to talk, I think it is another thing to vote for people just to vote. I vote you cause I am most convinced that you are mafia at this point

I still feel that Thian, Donna, Stacie and Pete are innocent, and I wont be voting for them this round. The others I would consider, especially Cam.

I'd be happy with a Pete Lynch. I feel your vote is simply placed because my vote was placed onto you. It is a reactional vote, similar to what dragonldy does, yet you clearly covered it up by pointing a finger at something 4 other people are guilty of.

Mandie, I will back you up with a Cam lynch if it comes down to it, he's more trouble than derB or Pete right now.

Also pete, why haven't you re-examined dragonldy? what specifically has she done to take her off your radar? Your vote was firmly placed on her for a little while, yet she came back and you took your vote off of her, to follow me, onto kyle.

alright, mandie, I can appreciate cam going after Tiffani, but for now, my eye is set on pete right now, he has a lot of explaining to do and things don't add up.
