Werewolf 4: HighRoad Falls Day 1

Ok well since Kenya and Willy Wanker are the 2 people left unprotected, I'm going to go ahead and cast my vote for Willy Wanker.

I seen him around the site lots but he doesn't seem interested in this game. So even if Wanker isn't a wolf, if he isn't going to show up and help then we may as well just lynch the guy.

So yeah I vote to lynch Willy Wanker.

well it seems the vote is between Willy Wonka and Tiffani. After sleeping on it I have decided who I'm voting for, since people aren't going based on the protecting thing (since Willy Wonka and Kenya haven't been chosen) I'm not basing it on that.

I'm voting for Tiffani, the first vote always sucks and I'd prefer not lynching anyone first like I always say but I'm not gonna fight that any longer cause I think with this group of people that is never gonna happen. Tiffani, if you are innocent then I'm sorry, this is just what I feel is best to do at this time.

Well... I didn't exactly disappear Well, in the "doesn't seem to care about the game" kinda way. I've never played before; I'm excited to play

But I read every post in this thread just now, and here's what I have to say:

"My" internet went out too. I just didn't say anything in regards to this game, because I didn't think I'd have missed so much. I posted my lovely hello at the beginning of the game, and kinda waited for stuff to happen, since I'm new to the game and am kinda just feeling stuff out. But on Tuesday I went to a friend's house for a couple days, and her internet/cable went out (anyone playing in OPS4 can vouch for that, as well as anyone who generally talks to me on AIM, which is a couple people here). So yeah... not inactive, just catching up.

As for my voting logic...well, I think you could go both ways on the Thian/Tiffani argument, but...since it seems to be me or her, I don't really have much wiggle-room...

I'll vote for Tiffani

And yeah, I didn't just randomly change my name. Normally I don't like drastic name-changes. But I thought it was appropriate for the game

I agree, I mean, look at who we're left with, Doug or Kenya...I don't really see any reason to lynch either of them.

And, I also stand by my prior statement that if we just protect each other, the wolves know who the wolves are, and the villagers don't know who the villagers are, so this undoubtedly plays into the wolves hands and not the villagers hands.

There's also no reason to lynch Tiffani. I am sure Thian was just being courteous and saw no need to rush the game. No one else seemed to mind so I don't see the big deal and I think Thian would have held up the game for any person who didn't have internet no matter their role.

Well then that points more to the people who are against it. The villagers have no idea if the last person to be saved is a wolf or not but if there are people resisting maybe they know one of the last two people is a wolf and that is why they are resisting this plan. It could work either way.

Well then that is Cam? I mean...you can't fault Doug for not protecting Kenya...since that would just mean people would lynch Doug. So Cam is the one holding out and not choosing Doug or Kenya. But he's had ample time to choose whomever he wants and just decided not to participate, so I don't think that speaks against him.

I think there's more negatives against Tiffani than either of the two people we have left OR the person holding out on choosing. I just don't think that system is serving us in any way at the moment and we need to think of something else.

Actually...fine...I can think of a way this will work. I am changing who I protect from PhocQ to Doug (Willy Wanka). Now Doug and Cam (Dogdude) are the only ones left to protect someone. Kenya and PhocQ are the only ones left to be protected.

Now Doug just has to protect one of them (since Cam won't) and we can either vote to lynch the person left...or Cam for not participating, since that seems to be what we're looking to get out of this system.

I still think there should be a better reason, this seemed like a good idea at first buuuuuuuuuuuuut I don't see it yielding any results. I still say we lynch Tiffani over any of these people since I just don't feel any reason to lynch them...but I do feel there's a reason to lynch her...it could be completely wrong but I'd rather vote to lynch someone I actually have suspicions about rather than someone I don't.

I dunno what the point of me actually choosing would be though, since I don't think that people would change their minds to vote off PhocQ or Kenya just because I picked one of them.

Interesting theory. I don't know if it really matters because I am just going to base my vote on someone who I feel is most inactive at this point. That could definitely change, though and I am definitely considering what Willy Wonka (lol) has said.

If I thought there was a real reason to vote Tiffani I would. I just don't think her lack of internet and Thian's timing are reasons to lynch her. It's not like we were waiting on any decisions, anyway. He has given us a full week before anyone has to send anything in to him if I'm not mistaken.

Yes, but the rapidity of it was a problem in the last game...since it took a long time and Sean was the only one who had disappeared he was outed at the wolf...I doubt that Thian forgets this. If the first round went quickly and then the night didn't finish until Tiffani got back it would be obvious she had a role, so he wanted to pause the game for her. But the other people who weren't going to be around didn't have roles so why would it matter?

Also your claim of inactivity wouldn't fit with Doug either in this game...he's already posted more in this thread than other people. I mean, yes, his ass is on the line but still.

Yeah, my ass is on the line, but if you aren't trying to hold lack of Internet against Tiffani, why hold it against me? I already explained that it's my only reason for not showing up and posting as much as everyone else right off the bat. I would have been posting more if I could (ass on the line or not). In any case, I'm clearly here now.

I still don't think Thian was holding the game for her because she's a wolf. I think he would do it for anyone. Your statement helps prove that he would hold it for anyone, no matter what their role was. For example, let's say Tiffani is an innocent villager and she doesn't have internet until Thursday but he starts the game on Tuesday. We all decide to lynch her because she is the most inactive and she's not here to fight for herself. Under your theory of a quick lynch, she'd be toast. I think Thian considered this and would have held up the game for anyone because of this - Wolf, villager, Seer, whatever.... I guess where we are differing on our opinions is that you are saying Thian would hold it up only for a wolf or someone with a role and I don't see that at all. Also, under your theory that Thian only held the game because she has a role, she could also have a good guy role so it just isn't enough to prove to me she should be lynched.

As for Doug, I've already said I may reconsider. My original vote was because we hadn't seen him but his statement makes sense. I just don't want to change votes willy (no pun intended) nilly and then change back again so I'm not changing at this time.

I do like that we have a lot of discussion going on this, though. I think the more we talk the more chance someone may say something that will help us. Come on wolfies, trip yourselves up!

But he DIDN'T hold it up for just anyone. I couldn't be around the first day at all, neither was Doug, you weren't sure if you were going to be around, Deetster wasn't available for a few days and didn't show up until today, none of us mattered in the decision at all. The only person that the game was paused for...was Tiffani.

I PMd him and told him she didn't have internet because she's in a game I am hosting and her partner in that game told me. He then asked us all to vote and it was at that point that we all posted our various reasons for not caring if he held it up, etc. Correct me if I'm wrong. Did you tell him of your absence and he refused to hold up the game for you?
