Mafia - Paradise - Day 4

i know i have been inactive, but i have no idea what to say at this point. im not sure who the suspect atm, but i do agree with derbs think about jk. the reason why i jumped with cam to vote for thian was because i thought it would of been funny to vote for the host of the all famous werewolf game, but then i did retract it and did not vote for the remainder of that day. as being a little inactive like myself, im gonna vote to lynch jk, and also try to be a little bit more active

Thian, while Brant might have thought dogdude was fessing up to being the doctor, if he did it to out the real doctor then he was wasting his time since the real doctor had outed himself already.
As far as the vigilante goes, what makes you think I didn't seduce that person? For my seduction on the vigilante to have a negative impact the vigilante would have to choose the mafia, I would have to choose the vigilante and the mafia would have to choose the vigilante. There is a high possiblity that I did choose the vigilante already. And it's funny that NOW my choices are careless, when just a round ago, my "careless" choice got us a mafia member.

I agree that we can't 100% depend on the outcome of my seductions, because you put it out there for it to be an argument and for the mafia to use. What are the rules for a mafia target? Can they target the same person back to back? Like if the person was saved or something? Can they send in a no kill back to back? Can they spend the whole game sending in no kills? Wouldn't this make the player a big old idiot for playing that way?

But I find the tone of all your posts to be defensive Thian, not in a "I'm defending myself" kind of way, but an angry "how dare you" way. Last round you were calm, and ready to discuss my seduction while leaving open options of a no kill and other stuff. Now you're too busy bitching about and calling me careless and what not. But my choices have not been careless. I know who the doctor is and the chief of police is gone, and the lawyer cannot be affected by me because I only disable night actions not day actions, so I'm not hurting anyone important, and should the mafia and I BOTH choose the vigilante AND the vigilante chooses that mafia member, then we lose the vigilante. Otherwise, he's safe as a bug in a rug.
Do you remember when I was the lycan? How the seer would've seen me as a wolf even though I was innocent? Had the seer checked me and told everyone I was a wolf even though i wasn't, would you have called the seer's choices careless? No, because that is what the game is about, making choices and hoping you hit the right person.
So while I'm willing to vote -jk- who HAS been on the site during night rounds and COULD be the other mafia, I've still got my eye on Thian.

I am still keeping my eye on Thian as well. It would make sense for him to be the traitor, seeing as he is unaware of exactly who is mafia, and the fact does remain that we very well could have gotten lucky with Brant, and that perhaps Virtuanno was a big 'goof up' for him. Also the fact that his posts, while seemingly in benefit for the town, are almost always aimed at keeping thoughts (doubts?) in our heads, and he was quick to want to lynch Brant last round. I am not saying that keeping an open mind is necessarily a bad thing, but I think we have a little speculation overload here, since nothing happened that we can confirm last night phase.

I am really hoping my guess about jk is right, too. Just to elaborate a little on why I came to my conclusion, here are all of Brants posts from last round that fit into the reasoning:

"...2) The Mafia tried to night kill Tiffani, hoping that the Doctor wouldn't protect her, but he/she probably did. If so, this would essentially "frame" whoever Tiffani tried to disable because there was no night kill. I'm guessing that this is the case, and I'm not sure how to prevent this from happening in the future. It almost would have been better for the Mafia to have made a night kill because then we could have 100% cleared whoever she disabled as not being Mafia. Now, we're not certain what happened, and there are just as many suspects.

3) JK is Mafia. I thought before that he vanished that he was probably clear because a member of the Mafia would be more interested in the game. But the fact that he's not here, and there was no night kill...it would make sense in a way since every Mafia member needs to send in a vote.

So on the condition that theory 3 is true, I'm going to vote to lynch JK (<--Not my vote) for now while you guys all discuss what this could mean and what you want to do."

It just looked to me like he was trying to make jk out to be an inactive person, that never showed up, and Brant was voting for him knowing he was going to be revealed as mafia, making the vote come off as a last ditch scum effort to incriminate an innocent lurker, while giving jk subtle hints along the way.

yes, I came off a bit bitchy, I do apologize. I tend to react when fingers do get pointed. Although I can explain myself calmly I chose not to, to get a point across, which was, you can't rely on your powers to clear someone.

Me accusing you of doing more harm than good wasn't right. Yes your powers worked with brant once, but it can't be thought of as truth and end all be all. You are right, it is about making choices, but making educated choices is better than guess work.

On to the point about the lycan. I agree that i would more than highly suspect this person of being guilty, however knowing that the chance for someone to look guilty who is actually innocent, I would be weighing out the options instead of jumping to conclusions by asking the person questions. So you telling me, no I would just jump on it and take it for as he or she was guilty, is wrong in your assuming. You tried to outguess what I would do in that situation, yet you can't because you haven't played in a game with me.

It is about taking chances and taking risks, but you can lessen those chances and risks by posing questions to people.

I think I am also annoyed at how more than half of the people here are really not participating at all which is making me a bit upset that the host is actually trying to provide a game, and the game is there and she is doing her job, but it really is up to the rest of us to be here to actually play.

I would laugh if at the end of this whole game, the three of us being three towns arguing amongst each other.

I'm going to go ahead and put another vote on Dragontear for this round. I still do suspect him, and was willing to halt my hunt of him to kill Brant.

I'd like to see a defense from him as well. So hopefully this will pressure that.

Dragontear, this is going back to day one.
Your original reasons for voting for me, were piggy back reasons that dogdude voted for me. Then it quickly changed to, I wanted to vote for the host. This is why I find it slightly suspicious.

I also appreciate that you will be more active, it doesn't excuse the fact that you parroted cam's reasons and then fell back on a joke to vote for me based on me being the werewolf host and then all of a sudden you disappear. I don't know where you went or what you tried to achieve by being inactive so. Again my suspicion is on you and that is where my vote is right now.

I can see everyones points about JK but we do have a few more days to discuss, and I would hope that dragonldy and dj, and deester and dogdude come around more to participate than just to throw a vote on the largest wagon going.

well all i can say is that im not a mafia, but i guess it seems as votes go my way you might find that out for sure. but who knows for now i might see a few more days, who knows i cant control the fate of this game. i am surprised that dragonldy has not been on yet, but yet again she is usually the one who comes to finish one off

This annoys the heck out of me as well. I have so much playing these games and reading what everyone has to say and what not, but this game, I AM having fun, but I'm highly disappointed in a HUGE chunk of the cast.

That is going to be everyones response though. "I'm not mafia, im not mafia" so how can we fall back on that. and take it as truth. Anyone on the hot seat is going to state these things.

Dragontear apart from wondering where dragonldy is, do you have any opinions on Cam, or JK, or Deester or DJ?

Dudes...not everyone is going to post like crazy in these games. Some people are either busy or just don't have as much to say. Not everyone has to be Thian's level of committed. Just sayin.

well i dont think that cam has an evil role because he voted to lynch brant on the previous day and voted for virt on the first day. so i do think that he is innocent. with jk, i am not sure he seems like hes set on lynching Dj, and then has not voted since. and Dj voted to lynch the mob boss on day one. so i don't think he is a problem. but when i go back and look at deetster, who is usually a whole more active. he's just voted for tiffani, and left it at that. and i think that when virt chose his 3 mafia, he would pick the smartest players, Phocq, brant. and im thinking deet could be the other one.

Considering this is my first time playing with Thian, my experience in these games has nothing to do with his level of commitment. I understand busy, but I see almost the whole cast on the board every so often and can't figure out why they aren't posting, especially those that I've played numerous games with before.

And Deet is not mafia.

It's my first time playing with Thian too, at least in this type of game. I guess when I come to the board and don't have much to say in the game, I just don't post anything. No point in useless banter, unless I'm just having fun

If you had checked Deet a night that there was a killing, it doesn't put it past that he is the traitor. Traitors have no night actions required.

so you simply just saying "deet is not mafia" may be correct, but there are other roles out there that he could or could not be either.

It is good to have fun cam, but the banter is sometimes needed to propel arguements forward. Avoiding banter?

Mafia does not know who Traitor is and vice versa.

The traitor is there still and will win if we don't find them either. Yes you might be able to disable a mafia. However your prostitute powers can't clear gainst the traitor since they cannot kill.

It will just be day rounds to weed them out ((sarcasm begins)) and because of all this participation from everyone ((end sarcasm)) it will be difficult to clear anyone who you have checked previously without them not participating.

So mafia can choose not to night kill, you will start framing people who are innocent, case in point currently. Deet isnt' all that off the block either. So I don't think Dragontears vote is far off to suspect deet. I find it funny how you are now clearing a possible traitor on deet, when traitor can still win it for mafia.

without getting mafia and the traitor the town is sunk and I would hate to lose because people are not participating. Tiffani you are putting a lot into this game, same with derBmoose, and myself. I don't want to lose this for townies.

I did read it, and I KNOW he's still there, but he can't kill us, so I'm more concerned with Mafia right now is all I'm saying. I want to survive the night round and he's an unneccessary kill right now

so if deet is not mafia, where do we or i go from there?. i dont wanna keep on changing my vote back and fourth, so im gonna leave it there for now. i dont know a whole lot about dragonldy either which is why i don't really suspect her, but there is not a lot of read from her. i noticed that some of the other people lynched had two roles. can the prositute also be a mafia?, not that i suspect tiffani, if she is the prostitute, but im just thinking of things that could happen

I'm not mafia, but I don't think the prostitute could be two things unless it was husband/wife or twins, which I'm none of the above of that either lol
