People at the library are weird.

Granted, I'm here too, but am I the only one who finds the library to be an absolutely phenomenal place to people-watch? First off, I'm the ONLY person sitting in the Mac row, because everyone else runs away screaming when they see the Apple logo. Naturally this means everyone looks at me funny.

But really. It's a great place to observe the human animal.

There's this one dude who's here all the time who walks around with a cane. He doesn't need one so far as I can tell.

And I dunno about your guys' libraries, but for whatever reason here, whenever people see other people they know and would normally stop to talk with, they just ignore them like they're not there. Is this like a common library habit? I know it's a quiet place and all, but it seems weird to make eye contact with someone you know and just...not say anything. People are weird.

My college has the set of Will & Grace in the library.

People have sex in my university's library. Sixth floor, corner cubby. That's the reason people avoid studying on the sixth floor.

I was at the library today and encountered an array of characters. From the sketchy librarian with the underbite who stared at us, to the man hacking and mumbling to himself while reading the same page of a newspaper for about an hour.

I find the English dept. building to be much more... interesting. Very cooky people.

Max Mutchnik is an alumnus of the college and donated it to take up space, which would have served a better purpose providing either sunlight or study space.
