WOOOOT, FRIDAY! Cam, bars were definitely the place to be tonight XD

I went out tonight, for once, hahaha. One of my favourite bands was playing at a tiny bar down the street from me, so I was SO STOKED. And they were amazing. PLUS, I HAD A RANDOM GUY BUY ME A DRINK! But he never revealed himself after the bartender brought me the drink. So I just had the drink, listened to the band, and left.

They're called Low Level Flight. I adore them <3 They're fronted by Ryan Malcolm, who won the first Canadian Idol.

Ryan is my buddy. He actually Facebooked me to invite me out to the show, lol. When I was 14, and he had just won Idol, my dad used to drive me 5 hours to see him perform. I even went to his BIRTHDAY PARTY!! I had a friggin' BADGE that said "Malcolmanic!" And a Ryan Malcolm hat. And a shirt. And I definitely wore all of that stuff every time I went to see him.

But he's changed from Idol Pop Star to Indie Rock Star <3

I was SUPER lame.

I even made a sign that said "I want my Ryan hug!", since on his forum, everyone talked about getting hugs from him.

I was even in the local NEWSPAPER, because when I met him, and told him to sign it "To Jessica", he was like "ARE YOU JESSICA888 FROM MY FORUM!?"

PS: I found the birthday card I made him one year. Wow. I can't believe how lame I was.

And it's really awesome of him that he actually was that in touch with his fans. I like that. I hate it when I'll meet someone at a signing and they just obviously don't care about anyone.

Hahahaha, the whole band was great tonight! They all kept introducing each other to me and yelling for each other to come over to me, hahahaha! It went like:

Me: Hey James! Mind if I get an autograph?
James: Hey! Not at all! What's your name?
Me: Jessica
James: HEY RYAN!! Have you met Ryan?
Me: Years ago!
James: Ryan, here's Jessica!
Ryan: Hey! Glad you could make it! Have you met Brandon yet?
Me: Not yet
Ryan: HEY BRANDON!! Meet Jessica!
Brandon: Hey! Nice to meet you? Have you talked to Dave yet?
Me: No, he's my next stop!
Brandon: I'll bring him over. DAVE! HEY, DAVID! COME MEET JESSICA!

That was before their set, and they came by to say goodbye before leaving too Plus they promised to do a show in England for me once I move there, since I was worried I wouldn't get to see them again, hahahaha.

I just adore these guys <3 I was sad though, because the bassist, Shaun, became a first-time daddy like, six days ago, so he wasn't there. I wanted to meet him.

It's been a while since I liked a band that much where like I knew everyone in it and shit. That's awesome Jess!!

IRONICALLY, Ryan Malcolm went to the same high school as Avril Lavigne! hahahaha

Can't wait to see them again XD I saw Ryan solo a few times, but once the band formed, our schedules NEVER matched up. I was never able to make it any shows. And it doesn't help that they've become a hit in India and Mexico, so they keep doing tours outside of the country. This was my first time actually seeing the whole band together Well, most of the band, since like I said, Shaun's wife just had a baby and he wasn't there.

Well...you can always go see Lights.

IRONICALLY, Lights is cousins with one of my good friends!! True story!
