I went to Akron for my boss' roller derby game, right? Well afterward, we went out to this big ol' bar in Akron called The Barley House. It's a really nice place, and it's got a great big patio, so it was really cool.
But, it was really weird, because I've never seen such a diverse "cast" at a bar before. At least around Kent, you know which bars are the "bro" bars, which are the "hipster" bars, which bars are "old people" bars, etc.
But the bar I was at last night? Everyone. But it wasn't like "Everyone" in the sense that it was cool to see everyone interacting...it was "everyone" in a kinda weird way. Like there were these three twenty-something girls dancing with this 60-something dude. And then there was this cowboy/tool dude drunkenly dancing with this crazy chick who kept rubbing her ass. And then there were the really butch lesbians that you'd expect to be at the gay bar down the street.
Like...it was just strange...and that was just the tip of the iceberg.
Oh, oh, oh, my favorite part was that when I walked into the bathroom, I instantly because the straightest guy ever. There were these three guys at the mirror fixing their hair and commenting on each others' appearance, like, "Naw dude, your hair looks great" or "Man, your skin tone just isn't doing it. You're too red right now, and you need to even it out. Go tanning or something..."
I KID YOU NOT THIS IS WHAT THEY WERE SAYING...but they were the biggest tools ever at the same time.
Also, I drank two pitchers of beer. Yeah, that was the best part.
