What a lovely little English lad! Thanks Doug! HAHAHA! That was pretty funny. I actually have a wish, that I could talk to someone with no preconceptions of Twilight and have them read the book and see what they think.

I'm honestly of the camp that it's kind of crap but at the same time it IS meant for teens and it IS getting them reading, and anything that gets kids reading on their own is good in my opinion. But then again from the commercials it looks like the plot to the second book is that Edward leaves for whatever reason and Bella just keeps trying to kill herself over and over to get him to come back...that's a healthy message.

But....if this gets kids reading, it's gets them reading shitty chicklit.

Omg, that is my favorite thing ever. When I read that article, it made me feel so good inside. Made me love Stephen King even more.

I'd be okay with the fact that it's getting kids to read if it weren't for the fact that Bella is the worst female protagonist everrr. I'm taking a class next semester, because I'm pretty sure we're reading Twilight, and if we have to write a final paper, I'm writing a feminist critique of this book. It'll be the best paper I'll ever write. She's helpless, she's unhappy until she meets a boy who thinks he loves her, but isn't really sure, because oh...that's right...HE WANTS TO EAT HER. He treats her like shit and she comes crawling back, she's completely defenseless without him around, and she just plain all-around sucksss.

It's not only that, Kristen Stewart is a terrible actress! She seems half-out of it all the time, and I havn't even seen the movies.
