I want to watch Glee...

but fox.com only has the last 5 episodes and I really don't want to spend money on the DVD that was just released. So I don't know what to do... I would really like to see the beginning episodes!

Okay, I decided to just go ahead and buy the DVD because the internet was too much of a hassle to actually figure out how to watch them... and to rent them was ridiculously priced. Target had it on sale for $24.99, so I am now the proud owner of GLEE: Season 1, Vol. 1.

It's so amazing. My favourite episodes are Vitamin D, Ballad, and Hairography :D :D

I clicked this topic because, originally I wanted to watch glee.....until my husband bitched about it being .... well.... like a musical. I dont really care for shows that break out in song and dance. I really hate it when that happens on Family Guy.

Don't worry, they don't. It's like a musical in the sense that every now and then there's singing...when they practice their singing in class.

I think they only actually broke out into song randomly twice...possibly 3 times, but I can only remember 2 clearly.

There's was that Bust Your Windows song... That song Quinn sang... Dancing With Myself... Take A Bow... And I think that was all of them. All I remember, at least. So four. And three of them are my three least favourite Glee songs, lmao.

But he's right, Mandie. The singing is worked into the show as part of the Glee club. It's not like they're talking to each other in song, lol

I always thought the Dancing With Myself song was really just supposed to be him practicing, because didn't Will like, overhear him when he was doing it? If it was like a non-diegetic song he wouldn't be able to do that. Yeah the ones I was thinking of was Bust Your Windows and Quinn's song. I don't even remember when they did Take A Bow, HAHA, I'm guessing that was one of your least favorites, HAHA!

But Take A Bow was like... a montage. Rachel singing, and it would show her watching Finn and Quinn in jealousy. Then it would switch to her singing in her room, then back to creeping them out.

I really like Take A Bow even though on the show it was weird.
Not a fan of Dancing By Myself but I don't dislike it either.

There really are very few songs I don't like, the whole Accafellas episode wasn't a favorite for me overall

OH RIGHT! Yeah, that wasn't that great either, that's actually the one I was thinking of when I said "maybe 3" because I vaguely remembered that happening.

And yeah, that Artie song was the worst. I think he's the worst character now after that whole thing with the stutter, that was just so fucking annoying.
