I'm watching Survivor: China (SPOILERS)

I'm six episodes in.

I rewatched China recently and loved it just as much as the first time.

Here's my brief episode-by-episode reaction for the time being:

Episode 1: Chicken

So I kinda liked Chicken. I initially liked the fact that he let people just kinda realize the stupid stuff they were doing. I just wish he'd stepped up when they finally asked him to. I thought he coulda been fun *shrug*

I loved the beginning of the episode. If I were ever on Survivor, I'd hope that I'd get to experience things like that. It was amazing. Challenge was pretty cool too

Episode 2: Ashley

I also liked Ashley. Based on watching only the first two episodes, I really thought I wasn't going to like the season, because the people I'd been warming up to were people who were getting voted off...over and over.

Dave pissed me off pretty much instantly. He's kind of...no, he's totally an idiot. Him at the battering ram challenge was embarrassing. You'd think he'd learn his freakin' lesson.

Episode 3: Leslie

Totally okay with it. I wasn't a big fan of her.

The challenges were both cool. I loved the floating platform challenge I would love to compete like that. The other one though? Ridiculous. Courtney is awful. I couldn't believe that she couldn't. do. anything. Worthless. I have no idea why they keep her around.

Episode 4: Crazy Dave

THANK GOD. I hated him. Haaated him by the time he got voted off, and seeing him go was definitely one of the most satisfying vote-offs ever.

Challenges were pretty cool, but that's about it *shrug*

Episode 5: Aaron

*sadface* Now I kinda hate Peih-Gee and Jaime. I mean, I never especially liked either one, but I hate when people throw challenges. They're logic was pretty good...IF they knew they were merging at ten. Even then, they were just assuming that in six days' time the switched members of their tribes wouldn't decide to make moves of their own? Dumb. And Aaron was cool!

Episode 6: Sharea

I didn't mind Sharea in the beginning of the game, but as time went on, I didn't like her very much. Editing was probably extremely responsible for that. Anyway, the first challenge was meh, but it's something I would've enjoyed doing; watching wasn't that great though, lol. As for the eating challenge, I felt so bad. Todd was stinkin awesome to work all that out, but freakin Denise...oh well, it woulda been rough to have to eat that chicken fetus thing...

As for the whole Courtney-hates-Jean-Robert thing: I fucking loathe Courtney. It's like she's still in high school! Get over it. You don't like him? Too freakin bad. Hey-zeus... I actually kinda like Jean Robert. I know I'm not supposed to, but I do. Maybe because he's an oaf, and for whatever reason I tend to like the oafs (remember Judd? <3 ).

Episode 7: Jaime

Yay merge! Yay black buffs! Yay cool tribe name!

Boo Jaime. Dumb. I mean, I always feel bad when someone is humiliated like that; their smile always makes me cringe, because I know what's going to happen...and then they just get crushed. It's awful. Anyway, she's an idiot for thinking that the Immunity Idol wouldn't be more obvious...I mean, c'mooon.

Oh, as for the series as a whole, it's good, but I'm not entirely in love. I don't really like a whole lot of the people on it. I'm really backwards. I was talking to Cory about it, and it's gotta say something when one of my favorite people is Jean Robert. I know a lot of people like Todd, but I don't have strong feelings either way. He's just kinda there talking a lot. Sometimes he's funny, but I dunno...he's nothing special to me.

Anyone else? I guess I kinda like Denise...and I like Frosti about as much as you can like someone who doesn't get a whole lot of attention.

I like Courtney too, can't wait to see her in Heroes vs. Villains :D sad that we're stuck with Amanda and James again though

I know... Amanda SUCKS! she's boring... all she ever did was help get James out in China. That's IT

I have no idea why you guys like Courtney. When I'm done watching maybe you can explain better...

Until then, I watched a couple more episodes. I'll update with mini-impressions probably tomorrow.

I actually haven't seen Survivor China (I know who wins and blah blah blah so I didn't really care to watch a show of which the outcome I know) but my roommate tells me that I should watch it just because I'll want Courtney to be my best friend. Like, he says it will actually really make me upset that she isn't, because we would be perfect for one another.

Any thoughts on that Doug? Do you think he's right?

I think I just have really strange taste in my Survivors. I like the oafy ones a lot of the time: Judd, Bubba, Billy, Jean Robert, Randy (not so much an oaf as a bitter old jerk), etc.

I'm in love with Dan and he's actually the dumbest survivor ever, so I can't fault you for that, HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Hahahaha, these people are totally memorable!

But yeah, I finished the season tonight. Didn't watch the reunion show yet.


How about Amanda getting one vote?

That caught me off-guard, but then again, the jury was pretty interesting this time around...not very personal. Makes sense though with Jean-Robert, James, Erik, and Peih-Gee all on there.
