Dragon Age vs Mass Effect

Dragon Age: Origins was easily my favorite game of 2009. I also just finished playing Mass Effect in prepping for Mass Effect 2 in a few weeks and it looks like they fixed everything about Mass Effect that I didn't like and are making it a lot more like Dragon Age. I liked Mass Effect but I liked Dragon Age a lot lot more....and with more Dragon Age DLC and the new expansion coming out in March...we shall see which one I think is the better franchise. I was just wondering if anyone else has an opinion on the matter. For right now my vote definitely goes to Dragon Age, I'm playing it through a second time right now, it's awesome.

I am almost halfway through my second play through of Dragon Age Origins. I even have Darksiders waiting in the wings and Uncharted 2 to finish...but somehow this seems more important. I'm doing a Mage this time. Her name is Carria and she's an Arcane Warrior/Blood Mage. She's pretty sweet. Also she's a bitch. Everyone loves her though, and that's what's important. My last character was a Theif with Assassin/Duelist talents. He was the bomb, and named Braden...he was very poncy and too nice for his own good.

I know Ali and I can't get married, but we're together together for now...which will make it REALLY awkward when I convince him to fuck Morrigan and make a demon baby...but I'm fine with that.

I think I'm going to wait to play it through a third time until the expansion comes out just so I can do the new classes and whatnot...but that's when I'll play as mega bitch of the universe and do everything evil...I'm pretty excited about that.

It says I've spend 160 hours playing Dragon Age Origins......life well spent.

This amused me a lot.

Also, the slapping thing was hilarious. And I was HOPING that when he was running across that bridge toward her, he would slap her again. And then HE DID! And it was epic.

Morrigan really just needs to be slapped ALL DAY LONG!!!!

The taint thing, also, I just kept watching it...I'll admit it...I chuckled every time they said things about the taint in the game.

I wish I could replace my whole party with bears....well.....except for Alistair.

I finished Mass Effect 2 finally. My final decision is that the game is interesting but almost everything in it is inconsequential. Like. Really. I don't feel any achievement for actually getting my crew together and keeping them alive. And if you skip all that the game is about 5 hours long. So really...eh. Dragon Age was a lot more fulfilling. I'm still going to play through Mass Effect 2 again using my original character from Mass Effect 1, but that's just...like...a given.
