How to Train Your Dragon

I loved it SO much. But I still have one complaint...only because it's a complaint I constantly have since it's my biggest pet peeve ever about movies. Why did all the adults have scottish accents but none of the kids did? Why can't these sorts of things be consistent?

Why does no one in Gone With The Wind talk with southern accents and half of them talk with british accents?

Why is it accepted that if a movie takes place in ancient rome (or wherever) people all speak with british accents?

WHY????


This movie was a wonderful joyful experience though. I want a little toothless chompers of my own. I would ride it and train it, and that movie would have a very different outcome because I would murder everyone in that town who had inconsistent accents.

Oh yeah, I noticed that too. Everyone did. I think the bigger question is why do the VIKINGS have Scottish accents and not like...oh, I dunno, some kind of Scandinavian accent?

But aside from that, I thought it was incredible.

Well that's because of how it's generally accepted that if it's in ancient times everyone can speak with a british sort of accent and it's okay.

I noticed that everyone has a British accent in Prince of Persia.

...I wonder how Britain feels about us thinking that all foreign people are British somehow? I mean...I guess it's kinda true since they pretty much owned the world at one point or another (except that whole South America thing...and well...Asia)...

That's a really interesting transition.

The accents did not bother me as much as the sound of Hiccup's voice. It was just obnoxious and did not fit the character in my opinion.

Otherwise I thought the movie was cute. Toothless reminded me a lot of a cat the way he had big eyes that would glow in the dark and how he would move.

Yeahhh, his voice took me awhile to get used to :\

I love Jay Baruchel!!

I have nothing against Jay Baruchel, I just think his voice was not a good fit for that character.

But you got to hear his voice!!!

I watched this movie last night.. and OMG I LOVED IT!!! 3D movies rock sooo much. OMG it was just soooo cute, I wanna see it again.. like.. right this second!

Just saw this, epic bump, but it was amazing.

Cried lots. A'course.

Loved loved loved loved LOVED this movie.

I want to see it over and over and over again and ride a dragon right now plz.
