| I watched this the other night, and I liked it for the most part, but I thought that it dragged on for too long. - Spoiler:
Basically, I think that the romance side story was pretty much unnecessary and disappointing. One of the things that I thought was so cool as I was watching the first half was that it had Seth Rogen and Adam Sandler and it wasn't some kind of awful hetero-love story about either one. It was simply about the friendless yet successful Adam Sandler dying and this completely happenstance friend he pretty much creates out of Seth Rogen. I thought it was going to turn into a sweet story about friendships and mortality, but the romance story totally detracts from what could've been. I mean, I know that in the end the friendship thing remains, but only after we've been completely caught up in the awful love story that shouldn't've been there in the first place. Also, I was expecting Adam Sandler to die with a lot of time left in the movie...

| lol, yeah, I got the heads up before I saw it not to expect anything too hilarious. Normally I don't like when people tip me off on stuff like this, but in the case of this movie...glad I had the hint beforehand.
I'm glad that Adam Sandler once again gets away with making a movie where he doesn't have to be a total dolt. I think he could be a very good serious actor once he just gets the right role down. Doing Zohan did not help... | |

| TOTALLY agree, Doug. And it was SO LONG. Omg, I almost left the theater near the end, but it was just so unnecessary. It was a decent movie, but I don't think I'll watch it again. And if I do, I won't pay money to buy/rent it. | |

LOL I saw this topic and thought oooooooh, I love Norm MacDonald he is so funny, and thought i could post that he was funny then clicked and saw that it was a movie title or something, .... and then decided to tell everyone anyway that I think Norm MacDonald is a funny funny man. | |

| I feel as that any movie where Sandler does not have to do that dumb baby voice of his, is outstanding. | |
