Random facts!

Age 15 - I was riding along with my boyfriend in his car. He got mad at me for ejecting his Phil Collins cassette tape. I did not want to listen to that at all. 

Good idea, Amanda.  I mean Phil Collins isnt awful but...........that's hardly what I'd call like GOOD music you can rock out too either lol

Age 17  - I painted a stolen fire hydrant with flowers and peace signs in Neon Green, Hot Pink, Black and Blue paint, While completely F R I E D ...that was carried up a flight of stairs in an apartment complex. One of my friends still has said fire hydrant.

True Story:

Age 9 - I once crawled across the street on a thick sheet of Ice, because I was afraid I'd fall in the middle of the road if I tried to walk. 

I did this again across two major/busy intersections at age 13. It worked the first time why not try it again? lol 

Age 39 - Two bitches at work got jealous cause I won Employee of the month. 

Age 13 - I once ran over a beaver while riding on a four wheeler. Oops

This is interesting.

Age 6 - I told my mother I did not want to take ballet lessons again (took a tap class too) because Ballet was slow and boring.  For the next 9 years I took tap and jazz for a total of 10 years of dance lessons. I miss tap class. I often tap around the kitchen just for the hell of it and probably always will. 

Age 13 - 8th grade - I missed 84 days of school that year (i hated school) and they still passed me to the 9th grade.

Age 39 - I went to Galveston last weekend, while I was there someone drowned in the ocean. There was a massive search. I was trying to ride the Ferris Wheel at the end of the pier but the helicopter with his bright search light made it really windy, and scary while I was up in the air. 

That's the 2nd time at the beach I was there when someone drowned.

Age 16 - I rushed the stage, barefoot, at Lollapalooza 92 while Pearl Jam was on stage. Stupid. I got trampled.

I bet it was a good time though Amanda!   Wasn't it?  Apart from being trampled.....

Age 9 - Me and my friend April went into a house that had burned down on Ashwood Drive. There was yellow caution crime scene tape everywhere but we were curious. I remember standing in the bathroom of the burned down house and thinking "such a shame, look at that melted tube of lipstick". We had to hide from the mailman before leaving.

Age 26 (2001) - Played my first survivor ORG. Same year, hosted my first ORG, met Scott. Scott was a big part of my online life until 2008. My interest in online things took a detour when he disappeared.

Age 18 - That's not my hat and that wasn't my sweater. lol I loved my shoes, they were green. I wore them everywhere until they finally broke on a roadtrip while in Virginia at "The Natural Bridge". I still have the green sweater. It was Christie's. - true story, Christy and the girl in the photo with me are now Sister In Law's. They married dudes that are brothers.

Age 21 - 1996 - I got my first car. It was a piece of shit Toyota Celica, White, 1983. The drivers side door wouldn't open from the outside, I couldn't lock the car, the key holes had fallen in the door and there was only a hole where there should have been a place to put the key. It had no emergency brake. It was also a standard (stick shift). Thank God that car is history.

they did an interview - it took us 2 hours from start to finish to rescue this cat. poor baby survived all the rain we had the night before. miracle

This is what started it, in my cities FB group, someone started a thread:

"There is a cat trapped in a sewer drain on a neighborhood street off of notsaying, over by notsaying middle school. The fire department and police came out last night but couldn't get him out because they couldn't fit through the manhole. Somehow, the cat survived the flooding last night. Animal control came out this morning and wouldn't do anything. They just said "sorry, can't help" and left. Can anyone help get this cat out of the sewer since animal control can't be bothered to do what they're paid to do? He's been in there for a couple of days so I doubt he'll make it much longer."






This prompted several citizens to respond ,myself included.

Age 25 - 2000 - 
My 2nd car - 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier, Sand drift (whatever color that is)



Not my actual car, but that's exactly what it looked like. I bought it new off the lot , MISTAKE. Cheap ass car was nothing but problems. 



After that car, it just got much worse. Always Broke, poor and willing to drive whatever, that's exactly what I did, I drove whatever. My father in law gave me a piece of shit that I happily drove back and forth to the college while I was going to school. 

Age 31 - 2006 
1985 Ford Tempo - Beige/Rust lol 


It looked like this and it was every bit as bad as it looks. I drove this car until I could no longer put it in park, I had to put it in neutral and put the emergency brake on to park, Eventually the emergency break quit working and I got tired of going from spot to spot in a parking lot to see if  I was going to roll or not when I turned the car off. So uncool, got to where I hated to go anywhere. 

After I had this car for a year or so, I saved up a little cash and bought a car from a friend which is still an ongoing problem to this day.
2007 - age 32 
1995 Ford Contour, Champagne colored. Just like the pic

It looked exactly like this, well, it still does. Boyd drove this car back and forth to work while I was refusing to drive the other ford. lol Eventually the bumper fell off. The windows wouldnt stay up, terrible. Neither one of these fords had ac. Summers in Texas, ugh. 
I was more than happy to get rid of it. It was a total eye sore. 




2012 - age 37 
2002 Ford Escape, Silver

Not too long after I moved into my mothers house after her divorce, my sister went off to college, and my mother wouldn't let her take the car she had driven all through high school which once belonged to my mother. Eventually this car was signed over to me and now I have it. Although I didnt own it until 2014, I started driving it in 2012 some. I started driving it all the time in 2013 when I decided to join the work force again. This is now Boyd's car, as he drives it every day to work. It's got issues but it could be worse. 

In 2014, I finally got a decent car in my name again from a dealership. 
Age 38 
2010 Nissan Versa - Grey


That's my versa and escape out there in the road. 

When I got the versa last april, we gave the Contour to my father in law, he still drives the Piece of Shit, too. Missing bumper and all. 

I haven't had many cars in my life but most have all been cheap ass cars. lol And NONE of them have had any color other than a neutral color. 

My Versa has made it to the beach and back twice now. I am hoping next year to trade my versa in for a better car with cheaper payments and a lower apr%. AND it will be in COLOR. Maybe a blue car, or a green car, I really would love a VW bug, with daisy wheels. How cute. That's how I ended up with the Versa, I stopped in a parking lot at a dealership to look at a VW Bug. It was blue. Dude asked if we wanted to look at it, I told him, "man, I know I can't afford it, lol" 
I came home that day from that dealership with my Versa. 

I had my first real problem with it after a year.
Came out from a movie theater on my 13th wedding anniversary last Sunday to a dead battery. 
That sucked.

That same day I bought two sets of jumper cables, one for each of my cars and i had to be out of pocket 140 on a new battery. boo.


In all, Ive had a Toyota, Chevy, 3 Fords and a Nissan.

If I was a rich bitch I'd have several cars - FACT>

1. My Every Day Car - VW Bug with Daisy Wheels. The flower decals not so much, but it must have a sun roof. yes. 

2. My Beach Car - JEEP - Really Cute Jeep. Black and Green

3. My Luxury Car - An Audi or a Jaguar, maybe a Lexus or BMW, something nice. 

4. My Road Trip Car - Nissan Altima - a Pearly White Iridescent one. With a sun roof, and leather interior.

5. LAST BUT NOT LEAST MY DREAM CAR - Hello Chevy Corvette. Slow down my beating heart.

Hehe, well Amanda thanks for taking me through your cars to date.  I've had lets see.... 1 Buick, 1 Chevy, 2 Hyundai's, 1 Ford, and 1 Toyota.  However one of those Hyundai's was only for less than a year when someone smashed into it (I wasn't in it thank God) and it whole thing got totaled so I had to get a new one.  I wasn't out any money, but it was a big hassle.  

Most of my family drive Ford's, but I only owned one, my SUV which I got rid of when I decided a sedan was better on gas.  Slews better....actually, unbelievably better, like I can't even BELIEVE it..but I do miss a bigger car.  Always wanted a pick-up too, but haven't gotten one ever.

And FYI my ex fiancee had a Chevy Cavalier, hers was a 2001, and while it was nothing fancy, she drove that thing into the ground.  I kept expecting her to have trouble with it, and she never did. Not that I <3 Chevy, but the one I had (not a Cavalier) was good too.  Maybe yours was a lemon or something, I dunno.

My grandfather worked at the ford motor plant for over 40 years here in Dallas. My family has always had fords. 

My sister just got a new car, it's a Ford. I think a focus.

I love this track, and my friend David posted this video on his fb, so funny. Did anyone else watch Soultrain when we were little? lol That's me at 41 seconds in on the left, just gettin down. Yeah buddy!!

I just took my fat cat Perry to the vet, He weighed in at 22 pounds.

Age 19 

Me, and three others snuck my bff J. Shay and his gf into a rave, via his trunk. There were 6 of us and we only had enough money for 4 of us, so after driving 30 minutes, we pulled over on the side of the highway, put J. Shay and his gf into the trunk of his own car and kept driving. It was in some bodunk middle of nowhere town, in a field. That's what I remember, and there was gonna be 10,000 watts of music at the rave, in other words, really fucking loud. J. Shay was bringing his 8 foot python with us. Her name was Tanya, named after the lead singer of the band Belly. (i love her, too). Anyway, that's how we snuck my bff and his gf into a rave. I should mention we were all fried that night. Took some balls while tripping getting into the trunk of your own car (brand new jetta) letting someone else who was fried drive - not me. Stupid things we did.
