As always I like to try and update this and change it for the better. Some suggestions and changes that have been made in the past I feel have really helped make this work a lot better. There will always be something to be improved upon and I hope everyone will continue to participate and help me make this work the best way for us all.

The following will be a few questions I would like everyone to answer. Some I may have asked before, or others have suggested and I wanna see if this can work out.

1 ~ some have asked to vote for 20 songs per week instead of 15. I have said no in the past because I felt asking everyone to vote for 20 songs is a bit much. However there are also 65 songs currently each week eligible to be voted upon. It may be hard to vote for your favorites if you have more than 15 favs. My suggestion here will have 2 effects on the voting and charts. Good part is you would be able to vote 20 songs, bad part would be that I will narrow the eligible songs each week down to 50. So for this first question which would you prefer:

vote 20 songs out of 50 eligible songs
or
vote 15 songs out of 60 eligible songs

2 ~ Songs being retired. Currently a song can only be retired if it doesn't receive votes for 3 weeks. I want to adjust this a little cause I feel some songs are just lingering on for far too long. Songs are not even charting but staying on close to 15 weeks or so. I am going to allow songs to stay on longer but with some rules. the following are your choices:

no votes for 3 weeks then retired if younger than 15 weeks. Once older than 15 weeks a song needs to chart in order to make it onto another week. Once older than 20 weeks at least 2 people must vote for the song.
or
no votes for 3 weeks then retired if younger than 12 weeks. Once older than 12 weeks a song needs a minimum of 5 points to remain on, older than 16 weeks a song needs to chart, older than 20 needs 2 people to vote for it.
or
no votes for 3 weeks then retired if younger than 18 weeks, once older than 18 weeks 2 people must vote for it in order to make it an additional week.

3 ~ HALL OF FAME

I want to do a Hall of Fame for this, basically it would include any songs that make it to #1, 30 weeks old, and break records (highest debut, first song to get over a certain amount of points, etc).

I just wanna know if anyone would have any suggestions as to how I should do this

4 ~ FAVORITE ARTIST

I would like everyone who likes to participate in this to give me their 5-10 favorite artist who still release music for me to keep an eye on for when I need to add new songs.

5 ~ RETIRED SONGS

One thing I have thought of is that occasionally a song will be on here and not receive a lot of votes and be retired for not getting any votes. Then a few weeks later will gain in popularity and people will start to really notice the song (some songs are growers). My question here is would anyone like the option to re-add a song to the new songs voting even if they already have charted in the past (barring that it hasn't reached 30 weeks, or be too old to be considered current).


If you need me to explain any of these questions more please let me know. I am going to stick with everything else for now as is.

Of course, any suggestions anyone has please suggest, it really helps me out. Whether it be about the voting, the adding of new songs, or the deadline to vote each week, all suggestions are welcome and encouraged.

3. I will think about suggestions for this Def include songs that stayed on longest, got most #1s, etc though

4. Thanks for doing this! My top three fave artists have been New Found Glory, All Time Low, & Taking Back Sunday.. this hasn't changed in years.. I LOVE them all. They are all still releasing music.. they each had an album out within the last two years and are all working on a new one now. I know not many people here know of these guys but I love them! <3 The other two artists I will pick for my top five are Breathe Carolina and Maroon 5 (although these spots change quite a bit based on who has released new music recently).


5. YES on readding songs.. some take time to grow on me.

#1 ~ I am going to keep this vote open a little longer and hopefully DJ and Mandie can vote, or even someone else, as we are tied and I am fine with either at this point.
