It's one thing to go stay at someone's house when you have the intention to leave in a day or two. It's another to go stay at someone's house when you have no where else to go and no plans. If I really thought it was for just a day or two, I'd consider, but it's Easter. You have no money, no job, your man doesn't either. Your car is worse off than mine. At least mine is legal with tags and inspection. I can't feed you. There is no where for you to sleep. I can't take you job hunting. I can't give you gas money. I wouldn't be helping you. I would be prolonging the inevitable. Please please, do something for yourself. Your man should be taking care of you. Stop relying on the generosity of others. Go to a shelter. They will feed you both.... Also, I called your friend today. We talked about you. She told me things about your man I didn't know. I can't have that in my home. I've never even met your man. And I understand he is their stepbrother, but that doesn't mean much to me cause look at their cousin!!! Just because I trust them with my life doesn't mean your man will live up to the same standards. After all, I already know his values are of a lesser nature. And to be completely honest, when my phone rang today, if I had seen your name instead of his, I wouldn't have answered. But I hadn't talked to him in a long while and it made me smile when I saw his name. To say I was shocked to hear your voice on the other end of the line when I answered would be an understatement. It was a shock AND a disappointment. I love you but I can't be dragged into your world. I have worked too hard to separate myself from all of those things that can drag me down. I keep my circle very small and contained. You, Roxie and Liz are the only friends that even know where I live. Roxie and Liz don't drag me into their shit, please don't bring me into yours. I'm sorry that your mom has kicked you out but I can't help you. My advice would be to ask your MiMi for some money to pay for a hotel for a couple of weeks and get a job so ya'll can get a cheap apartment. Or have you burned that bridge too? Clean your life up, you bring most of this shit onto yourself.

All the things I wanted to say today but couldnt. Instead im just going to send him a text message and ask him to pass along a message to her so I don't have to talk to her myself. I'm racked with guilt for saying no but I just can't.

Please pray for my friend. She is a complete Mess.

Boyd and I just purchased tickets to go see Glenn Beck live at Cowboys Stadium here in Dallas for his July 28th Restoring Love event. (well it's actually in Arlington but how many people know that the Dallas Cowboys Stadium isn't technically in the city of Dallas?)

I didn't know it wasn't in Dallas lol.

What's going on with this friend of yours? Someone wants to live at your house but they have bad habits?

It's in Dallas County for sure but not the actual city of dallas.

As for my friend... yes she wanted her and her man to come stay in my house. Neither have a job, neither have any money and they have any plans to do anything. I dont know what she is going to do but she did not call me back. I don't really have the money to let two of my friends mooch off of me indefinitely. If it were just a day or two, it might be a different story. But with these two, two days will end up being 2 months.

The mechanic was unable to get to our car today. Supposedly, now the time we get our car back is 4pm Thursday. That's when Boyd gets off work.


My fish tank has an algae problem. I have scrubbed the tank really good including all my decorations. Now my fish is hiding in his fishy cave. I changed the water of course but it still looks cloudy. (I change the water frequently) I hope my fish is fine tomorrow and that my water is cleared up.

I had Jasper the friendly fish for about 7 months.
Then I had Koh Phi Phi for 14 months.
I have now had Julian for 10 months.

Betas live for an average of 4 years. So why can't I keep one for more than a year??????? Can you have an algae eater with a Beta?

I may have to go back to Neon Tetra's or those cute Electric Green Glow Fish I saw at the pet store today.

UGH, we still don't have our car back yet. Supposed to get it tomorrow at noon. ?? I am beginning to think we arent getting it lol

Sounds like they keep stalling for some reason.. that's weird. Maybe the mechanic doesn't know what's wrong with it and is embarrassed to admit it?

Oh no we knew what was wrong with it. We had to pay 100 for the car part, then we took it to the mechanic so he could replace the bad one with the good one. He had to take the engine apart to get to it. He managed to to get it fixed today and it runs just fine. Total cost: 450.


But he was supposed to have it at noon, wasn't done until 5:30 today. Bah. At least we got it back. Now the inspection is up, gotta get it inspected or as of next month, our car will be illegal on the road. lol

I dont know how it is in other states but we have a state inspection sticker we have to have on the car, it's good for one year. Then we have to have it registered (a registration sticker next to the inspection sticker on the front windshield). To get your car registered you just pay a yearly fee. It usually doesnt cost much unless you are in California, i heard it costs over 300 to get your car registered in that state. Is that true? does anyone know? i think that is absurd.

Without these two things, you could get pulled over in Texas and get a ticket, you could also get a ticket if you don't have car insurance.

I know there is no "inspection," per se, in California. They just make your car pass a smog test. That's why there's so many Piece of Shit cars driving on the 101.

I think there are two parts to an inspection here. One is called the Emissions test and the other is the safety test (like blinkers, headlights, brake lights, etc).

My car is a piece of shit. Im not even joking lol but the engine is good and it always passes with flying colors.

I could list 10 things wrong with my car off the top of my head without any effort really. Tis sad.

However, we are almost in the position where we can possibly start making payments on another car *fingers crossed*. It will be so nice to have a decent car again. I dont really care what kind of car it is, as long as it comes with some kind of warranty, a radio/cd player, and an AC. And I prefer it to have no cracks in the windshield and all of it's hubcaps. It doesn't even have to be a car. I'll take an SUV or a Mini Van or even a Truck!

ALso, it is a life long dream of mine to drive the 101 in Cali.

I wanna visit Cali someday. And Texas lol.

Here in Massachusetts we have the emissions and the safety part of the test as well. You have to get a new sticker every year and if your car fails you have one month to fix it and get the sticker.

Yup same here. One month extension if your car fails.

The 101? Psh...it's just a highway.

The PCH (Route 1) is where it's at. That goes all the way up and down the coast.

I really want to Drive through Carmel and Big Sur.

I got my fafsa stuff filled out. I will be going back to school this fall it looks like. After getting an Associates Degree in Digital Imaging Technology and a certificate in Digital Pre-Press, I am just 2 classes shy of having a 2nd certificate in Digital Photography.

I need to figure out one more course to take. I've already taken all the digital imaging courses, including two web design courses and a flash animation class. I also took a computer programming class and a micro concepts (excel, power point, access, word etc) class. I dunno what I want to take I really just have no idea. I think the jewelry metal classes will be fun, get to learn how to make jewerly. (woot woot). And I have to take the photography classes cause I need them for my certificate. I found geology to be very fascinating so I think I will probably like the advanced earth science class since I loved the first one so much. It was hard and I remember having to write a 10 page paper, but I liked the teacher even if no one else could understand him when he talked. Dr. Kashfi even told me I was his favorite student when I handed in my final. Wont he be surprised to see me. I took his first class in the spring of 08'. Then... there is Oceanography and Meteorology. I think Oceanography would be cool to take and learn about and meteorology?????? Everyone should know by now that if I could do anything I wanted I'd talk about weather all day and where the tornado's are and where there might be rip currents or flash flooding. I like weather. But the oceanography and meteorology classes may be online only. And I wont learn nothing online. I have to be in a class room with a teacher. Helps me focus. I'm not going for a bachelors yet, so whatever classes I choose I'm choosing just because I think they would be fun.

Art Appreciation was not fun.

Music Appreciation is straight out cause Boyd took it when he was in school a few years ago, the teacher made us go sit through the damn Dallas Symphony play. I was so out of place and I hated it. Poor Boyd had to write a paper on it. Bleck.

I loved Sociology at Eastfield.. just a though. I'm sure it's a different teacher by now, but it was so much fun. We learned about our personality and what colors mean (per say), and we learned different personality traits, what was a strong trait we had in us... it was just fun.. and a WAY easy A! You may have already taken it though!

Nope didn't take that one. I had to take Intro to Psychology and Intro to Speech. Most of my electives were graphics or computer related. Then I had the standard Math, English and Science courses.

I'll look into that class when the schedule comes out for this fall. I'm actually excited to go back but Boyd isn't. lol Not that he doesnt support the idea of me going back he just remembers how much I studied all the time.

I loved Sociology in college, I minored it

I signed up for my courses too! Woo hoo!

I liked Sociology too.

DEF take Oceanography! It's awesome! And Meteorology is something I always wanted to take but my school didn't offer.

Ahh I miss college

Sittin here waiting on Boyd to get home. He has taken our car to get it inspected. He left work an hour and a half ago. I hope it passed. Sittin on pins and needles waiting.... bah.
