EARTHQUAKE!!

So I'm sittin on my laptop on facebook and I get an im from a friend and a text from my boyfriend both asking if i just felt the earthquake.. i didn't so i was confused.. turned the tv on and apparently there was a 5.9 earthquake in virginia that was felt in DC (pentagon and white house evacuated) and it was felt all the way to canada!! i live on cape cod in mass and didn't feel it but a buncha my friends in boston, plymouth and springfield, ma all felt it and said their beds/desks, etc.. shook. The news is saying buildings in boston shook too. Did anyone on here feel it?

Im in texas so of course I didnt feel it lol but, I heard that a few buildings lost some tiles/bricks but that there were no injuries. I have been watching the news, and I hear a hurricane is headed to the eastcoast. Be prepared wherever you are!!

I didn't feel the earthquake but was at work when it hit. One of my co-workers felt it when he came into work.

Also, am worried about that hurricane cause of where I live if it does hit us I have to evacuate immediately. It wouldn't be safe to stay at home. Hoping for the best.

It's headed to yall on the eastcoast, Sunday, hurricane 2 is what the models are saying, New York, Long Island, Boston, Conneticut, Providence.... etc.

I'm really nervous about this hurricane, hoping it doesn't hit as hard as it is predicted too cause my home is gonna be destroyed no matter what. I live in a trailer (not a mobile home but its like a small house). It won't survive a hurricane of this magnitude so I am hoping for the best and definitely keeping an eye on the news and everything.

They have been evacuating one of my aunt's favorite places today. Okracoke Island, in the Outerbanks of N.C. Only way on and off the island is by way of Ferry.

I live on cape cod. That makes me nervous.. i hope i don't get flooded.

You need to be making preperations right now. Serious threat to all of you on the East Coast. No Joke.

I keep teling my mom that.. she refused to stock up on water cuz it "Wasn't on sale." wtf. we're all gonna die and she doesnt care.

the storm is looking like it might just miss the area that I live at. We are going to get rain and wind but not the full brunt of the hurricane. Hoping it stays this way, cause I may not have a room anymore if it doesn't (long story)

I'm going to be grabbing some sandbags from our town just in case it floods up to my door. Eek!

I live in Carver, MA. Next to Plymouth. I'm not sure what to expect cause it keeps changing. Definitely being as careful as possible. Will go to my grandmothers house if need be.

I'm not working tomorrow YAY, even though I am losing the money I don't care, its one day out of 5 so I'll be fine lol. After working 11 hours today I'm glad, plus I don't have to go out in this storm.

Finally back with power after 2 1/2 days of what should have been videotaped and edited down to an amazing reality tv-esque 10 minutes.

FINALLY HAVE POWER BACK!! was out for just 1.5 hrs shy of 48 hrs!!! had nothing in the house to eat cept apparently spoiled food.. last night dad and i got sick from bad milk my aunt in vermont's jewelry store she works at is UNDER WATER and she cant get to it.

Glad yall got your power back. I think we are just waiting to hear from Pete. I am guessing he has no power yet.

By the way, that sucks about your aunt's store.

I FINALLY GOT INTERNET BACK! THANK GOD I WAS GOING INSANE! LITERALLY LMAO

okay, got that out of my system. I am so stupid cause I forgot to charge my cell phone, my Nintendo DS and my PSP. Therefore I had nothing to do since Sunday morning. We lost power around 10am Sun. Yesterday I was supposed to go to work (at Toys R Us) I get there and they had no power, ended up going straight home. We finally got power at some point last night. I think around 5-6pm. However our internet, cable and phone all were still not working, as well as our WATER! The water was fixed within a few hours but the internet, cable and phone didn't start working until around 4pm tonight, I was at work from 3pm until 9:30 so couldn't get online until now.

The storm wasn't really much of anything in my hometown though, a lot of trees fell and powerlines were all over the roads but it wasn't really that bad. My mom and I took a drive on Sunday afternoon to check it all out. Had a few moments that were freaky due to downed power lines but overall it was not bad at all. Some places and people I know still do not have power or cable or internet. I'm so glad I have it all back though, very grateful here lol

Mandie gets hers back, and now Pete! The world is right again. :D

I'm sorry you were bored for a while, Pete lol. I hate having nothing to do.
