There is this guy who hung out with the same group of friends that I did who was living in Japan for the last few years and I guess just within the last few months he moved home. We're all happy he did now.

My thoughts and prayers go out to all those affected by this

Ive been watching coverage of the Japan aftermath. If the water, doesnt recede, Japan will forever be changed.

And now I hear that they might have a meltdown at one of their nuclear powerplants. Radiation levels are a 1000 times higher than they should be and the temperature is still rising inside one of them.

On a side note, my tummy is grumbling saying FEED ME.
im hungry. I think its time to drag my honey away from his desktop and take me somewhere.

The newsreader last night said: "Australia(, Hawaii, bunch of other countries) all have a tsunami warning." The strip news read: "There is no warning current for Australia."

Also, Lex van den Berghe was on a tsunami warning as well, but I don't think it's reached him.

One of my friends has a friend whose entire family just died in Japan. Parents, wife, kids. He's got to be emotionally devastated beyond belief. Prayers going out to Japan.

That's so sad. I've been watching the news for the last few days and the things that I have seen in Japan, are sad and touching at the same time. The people of Japan are such peacful people, they inspire me to be a better person. I feel if such a disaster had happened here, that people would be out rioting because of fuel shortages, I think there would be mass panic because of nuclear meltdowns and I think that we would be looting because, thats what happens here in the states.... in a natural disaster, people freak out and often make the situation much worse. Like Katrina and all the looting and murders. There is none of that, in Japan.... I feel so bad for the people there, whole cities, just washed off the face of the earth, ... and they say 10,000 people are missing, it's just so sad.

The good news is that there are lots of miracle stories to go along with the painful ones. I was listening to christian music radio stations today while driving, I guess I was just in the mood to. I heard a story about a family of 3 that got trapped in a flood and under some debris. They were there for about 20 hours, but were rescued and were just fine.

I heard that someone's baby was washed away from the mothers hands. They found the baby, alive, resecuers heard her crying amongst some ruble 3 days later, they too were reunited.

Day 3 of no cigarettes. I mean, I have them but I told Boyd to hide them from me. I havent had one since Monday.

day 5 will be my ultimate test.

Thank you. When I quit back in my 20's for four years.... It was easy to quit. I just put them down and didnt think about it....

Yesterday after dinner, oh man was that hard. I wanted one so bad.

I'm trying to quit now too...I was doing well, hadn't had one in about two weeks.

Surely enough I was at a bar in Phoenix in 90 degree weather surrounded by a bunch of other smokers -- so I went right next door and bought a pack. Today was my first day back home and I went running to punish myself.

About a year ago, I wanted to quit then but I wasn't ready, I was still smoking matlboro reds in a box. So.... I changed to lights (which I hate with a passion). So in reality, I had to trick myself. Smoking a cig that I hate... made me want them less. So I was able to cut down on how many I was smoking by switching to something I hated. Eventually, it got to where I was only smoking 2 or 3 a day and was able to make a pack last me about a week. (its been that way for almost a year now). monday, I lit one up and took some puffs and decided... now was the time. So i just put them down.

Im not using gum or patches or meds or anything like that. Cold Turkey the only way for me.

It is the best way, really. If you keep pumping the thing into your body that you are wanting to quit, how are you helping yourself, ya know?

If you REALLY wanna get grossed out by cigs, let em sit out and get stale on a humid day, then try smoking one... bleck. There is no "puke" smiley, so I went with a pickle.

I actually want a smiley face that turns green like he is gonna be sick.....but i didnt see one where I looked.
