YAY FOR FRIDAY.


I woke up a little earlier than normal today. We had to lock the kitten out of the bedroom at some point and I heard him in the living room just meowing his head off lol poor little baby wanted some attention. Now he and Charlie are chasing each other around the apartment.

Did I mention I have new neighbors? They are noisey. Disturbing my peace. tsk tsk lol

They have a baby, and a loud barky dog. Frown Frace.

I only had one bitchy customer who ended up getting nothing done at my work. Can't complain. It's Friday.

Too hot to go anywhere. Boyd cooked dinner at home. Tonight when it cools off a little we will prolly go out for a treat, like a Sonic Slushy, or some Braums Ice Cream.

Third day in a row with 101 temp outside. Two days ago it got to 102. I keep hoping for a big rain. Untill I noticed rain is in our forecast but temps arent going to be a whole lot cooler. BOOOOOO lol

I know there was an eclipse the other night. I got to see a live shot of the eclipse on tv from Johanesburg (sp?) S. Africa the other day.

I thought that was pretty f'n awesome.

When I lived in Boston a few summers ago I lived on the top floor of a 3 story house and we had a little deck off the back - wild thunderstorms, I loved watching them (from inside of course, )

Last night here at 3am it started lightning and the wind was terrible. It started thundering right at 4:20 LMAO and then the rain was relentless. Boyd and I got no sleep, in fact, he stayed home from work today cause we were just so tired. lol And now tonight we get another round yippeeeee. At least its 85 and not 95. These 100 and above days are killing me yo.

lol, well I hope you two enjoyed his day off from work!!! I woke up at 4 this morning, with a dog licking my face. Scottie Boy doesn't like the storms either... so he always is with me when they roll in!

My Fish Koh Phi Phi Don

I noticed the last couple days he wasn't acting his usual fishy self. Like, he was laying around on his bridge and just kind of hanging around IN his plant, not really swimming much etc. Today when I woke up, I turned on his aquarium's light as usual and fed him his flakes. But he didn't eat. Then tonight, I noticed he was losing his color, looks like he is turning white (he is a bright pink fish). I have done a 90% water change and went to walmart TWICE to buy new filters (the first time we got the wrong one DOH!). Unfortunately, he is too weak to fight the small current in his tank with the filter running so I don't have it running at the moment. I also noticed he is slightly deformed. Like one side of his body has a weird curve in it. I really thought he was going to die while I was on the way to the store to get his filter. But he has not died yet. He is just hanging at the top of his tank straight up and down. Every once in a while, he sinks to the bottom. But then I will see his gill move and he takes a breath and slowly swims back to the top. I have had him for almost exactly 1 year (a few days over a year). I hate that something is wrong and I don't know what it is. It isn't Ick which is common for fish, and it isn't fungal infection as I see no growths on him anywhere. It could be a bacteria infection which is why I changed his tank water (i clean it once a week usually anyway). I also read he could be constipated. Betta's have an average life span of 2-4 years. Although I have had him for a year, I do not know how old he was when I purchased him at the pet store. Such a shame. The Betta fish I had before him was a pretty blue color, his name was Jasper. He was just dead one morning when I woke up after I had him for 4-5 months. Boyd doesn't much care for the fish, or any fish for that matter. But I do get enjoyment out of watching him swim around his tank. I shall miss poor Phi Phi if he were to die tonight while I'm asleep.

Nope didn't make it. Poor little fella. Tomorrow I'll get a new fish though
