| I watched the Grammy's, I thought they were interesting, a bit predictable but enjoyable. I really enjoyed the opening Aretha tribute, mainly cause of Martina McBride who I think was awesome
there were some performances from people I have never liked that I thought were okay, and some from people I did like that were terrible.
Lady GaGa was a disappointment, I just don't like that song and the performance was boring. I was also disappointed in Miranda Lambert and Lady Antebellum, huge fan of both of them but feel neither were as good as they usually are.
Also glad Lady Antebellum won as much as they did but I feel 'The House That Build Me' is a better song than 'Need You Now' so that should have won Song, same with Country Song. Oh well

| I had the unfortunate experience of tuning in as Justin Bieber was starting his song. Did he write that super complicated sh!t all by hwimswelf? I abruptly changed channels after 1 minute or two. If JB = Grammy worthy these days, then they aren't the Grammies anymore.
Just my 2 cents. | |

| I just watched it... thought it was all right. Wasn't the best ever.. I liked the opening tribute as well.. they all sang pretty good. I am not a fan of country, but that Miranda chick was all out of tune. I'm sure she sings fine, but maybe her nerves got the best of her.. Can't stand beiber, but was interested that Will Smith's son was out there singing... loved watching the response on Will and Jada's faces.. He stood up after and said, "That's my baby" over and over.. thought that was cute! I thought bob dylan and those other two bands that performed with him could've been replaced by someone better.. McJagger made me laugh through his ENTIRE performance.. He's just old.. so I'm not gonna hate on him. Eminem never ceases to amaze me. He may be Ghetto, but he has talent... liked that Adam Lavigne played the piano during that and that Skylar also got to sing.. could care less for Rhiana. I do not think Arcade Fire should have got Album of the Year. They suck (no offense to you likers out there). Well, every song I've ever heard them sing has sucked. Other than that, it was a pretty typical show. I enjoyed it!
And that's how Stacie... sees it! HAHAHA

| Miranda Lambert is usually amazing live but yeah she was really off pitch last night, which was why I was disappointed in her. Her performance of The House That Built Me at the ACM awards last year was amazing was hoping it would have been like that but oh well.
I did like Gwyneth Paltrow as well and Cee Lo (or whatever his name is) was just weird lol, his outfit was funny.
I do not like Bieber and so cannot believe I'm gonna say this but I actually didn't think his performance was bad at all. Jaden's rap during it was a bit annoying though tbh
I also liked Katy Perry's performance and Mick Jaggar's. It was an okay Grammy Awards, not as good as like 5+ years ago but it was okay

| Last night's awards were the highest rated since 2001. To put it in perspective, Macy Gray, U2, and the Baha Men were winning awards that year... Eminem...blah. I can't stand him. He just yells a lot and thinks he's hardxcore. And why, WHY did we have to sit through TWO Rihanna performances? She fails to impress. The Black Eyed Peas Superbowl Halftime show is more enjoyable than her. I did like Katy Perry and Cee-Lo/Gwyneth - those were probably the best performances for me. Along with Keith Urban/Norah Jones/John Mayer. Usher & Bieber's relationship gets more and more creepy the more I think about it. What the fuck was that retrospective conversation at the beginning of the performance? Gaga...I don't like her new song...the performance was alright, I'm not sure I like her prosthetic horns though. The egg was ridiculous. And Lady Antebellum... SO last year. Arcade Fire...I'm indifferent. I thought it was hilarious when that girl kept trying to approach the mic to talk Quebecois and the lead singer just kept going...ahaha And GO ESPERANZA SPALDING! FUCK THE BELIEBERS! | |

| JB = ratings, unfortunately. So that's why he was on there, even though he's not "grammy" material. | |

| That's definitely a reason why the ratings were probably so high - Bieber. Every Belieber was waiting to see him win, er, lose the two grammys he was nominated for. They said on the radio this morning a lot of it was attributed to the fact that there was a plethora of performances and not as much speech. It was like a 3 1/2 hour concert! Which was great, in my opinion. I don't really care about hearing a list of people's name. I WANT MUSIC. | |
