| So, as I mentioned in my other thread, I have a UTI and had to go doctor hunting.
First, I tried the sketchy doctor's office down the street, but they're only open on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. So no help. I came back home and googled for other doctors, but if you know anything about England, you'll know that the only times that exist is 9am-5pm from Monday to Friday. The country basically SHUTS down evenings and weekends. So no luck there either.
So, I googled for the nearest hospital, since I just want this infection TO LEAVE MY BLADDER ALONE! I started on my 1 mile journey, since I don't drive and can't figure out the buses. The map on my iPod gave me two different locations for the hospital. I walked to the first one, but it was an abandoned construction site with a sketchy sign that said "Maternity Ward". I walked around there, aimlessly, for 15 minutes, before heading to the other location.
It was this huge stone building and it looked really old and cool. Lots of buildings here are like that, so I thought nothing of it. I go through the front gate, and start walking around. It was also empty. I turned a corner though, and saw a sign about guard dogs. That's when I noticed all the fences and walls around me had barbed wire at the top and there were 249583405 security cameras.
I had accidentally wandered into a federal prison. Luckily no one saw me and I ran out. So, feeling tired and defeated and accepting my fate of death due to an untreated UTI, I started walking home. But I got lost. Ironically, while lost, I found the hospital.
So, I go in, tell them I have a UTI, and then they give me a funnel and a test tube to pee into. They told me to pee 10 ml into the tube. I go into the bathroom, and do that, but peed way too much into it. So, I start to dump some out, but accidentally dump out too much, leaving me with only 5 ml in it. I panicked and started drinking from the sink, trying to make myself pee again. I was in there for 20 minutes, with no luck. People kept knocking on the door, asking if I was alright, and since I didn't want to shout my problem through the door, I just kept telling them I was okay. I finally gave up on peeing more, and went to flush the toilet. Tons of toilets in England have a rope hanging from the roof to flush (such as where I live), so that was what I pulled. Ends up that was the emergency alarm, and people RAN into the bathroom and I had to awkwardly explain everything.
But at least I ended up getting my antibiotics.

| Um, I will officially never feel safe in England. I mean, not that I necessarily would have to begin with, but now...no way. You ACCIDENTALLY walked into a Federal Prison.
I feel like someone could like...accidentally get out if they just got lost on the way to the cafeteria. | |

| The first place my map directed me too. The blue sign was the one stating this was a maternity ward... Aaaaaand, the prison. It had crosses all over it, so I thought it COULD have been St. Mary's Hospital, especially since that's what it was listed as on the map! | |

| Jess, I must admit. You do have the most adventures. LOL You should write a book or something about encounters you have. | |

| That's a prison? No way. Although it does have inklings of a mental institute... like the one in House. | |
