Round 06

Um, I feel like I'm saying the same things every round. Oh well. Last round went smoothly, and we're now down to 6. Hopefully Travis can go before Pete if we lose again. I have a feeling that something different will occur, though, this round. We'll have to wait and see.

Interesting, we'll be paired with someone on the other tribe for this challenge and then a pair will win. I'm guessing that means one of several things:

1) Both tribes will go to tribal council and can vote for anyone except the one person who is immune.
2) We'll merge with 10 people able to be ousted, just not the challenge winners.
3) We'll get new tribes based on the pairings after the challenge ends.

I also assume that the winning pair will have their chance at Pops from the Glass Elevator. I don't want to take pick number one. I think that's reserved for Cam, but hopefully I get paired with someone good as #3. Of the options, I expect the first or the second will occur. I hope that both tribes end up going to tribal council because I'm comfortable with my current tribe and then we'd be down to final 10! We could just take out Travis or Pete, whoever wouldn't win immunity. Hopefully Travis.

Thoughts on Chat
Kenya and I just had a good, long conversation. It's the longest one of our conversations has lasted in years. What's fascinating is that she wants to work with Deetster while I think Deetster should be targeted and discussed targeting him first with Pete, who might actually show some loyalty to Deetster based on him, Sarah, and Pete saving each other before we had tribes. Deetster. Deetster. Deetster. I need to be careful and more consistent while saying things about him because any of it could get to him and if he hears I'm targeting him, he will send me home. My tribe can vote out Travis if we stick together and lose again. Kenya is DOWN WITH THAT. Thank you.

Hey Pete!

Bryan signed on after me and helped me win the challenge, so that's why I sent him to the Glass Elevator. I am completely, 100% still into having me, you, and Bryan stick together here. I'm looking at the past-votes since we can see their tribal councils and see that Kyle has 3 past votes, so if we have a 3-3 tie, we can send them home. Plus I don't know what Bryan's doing in the Glass Elevator but maybe he can find something to help us.

I chatted with Alex just to feel the waters, but he didn't give me much at all. He just acknowledged that it was probably going to be a tie at the vote and I shrugged and said "Maybe, but you never know." There's so much to go through here, but maybe we can figure out a lead to split them so we don't even have to deal with a tie.

Thoughts
Wow, I can't believe we have new tribes. So I guess that it's me, Bryan, and Pete from Snozzwanger paired with Alex, Kyle, and Violet from Hornswoggler forming the new Hornswoggler Tribe. Cam, Kenya, and Travis join Cory, Deetster, and Sadie over at the new Snozzwanger. It's total madness.

Fortunately, Bryan and I won the challenge so I'm not vulnerable and Bryan gets another shot at the prize. It was easy since we were just up against Alex who kept screwing it up. I feel like sending Bryan to the Glass Elevator is completely justified in him helping me and I told that to Pete. I looked at the past tribal councils from Hornswoggler and Kyle has 3 past-votes. So we can send him home in a tie and he'll leave with the most. If Kyle leaves our tribe, then we'll just send Alex or Violet home. I think everything's good here. That just leaves a question of what could be happening over at Snozzwanger where I hope Cam and Kenya (and maybe Travis a little) can survive. I'm sure they have it a lot worse than me, Bryan, and Pete.

congrats on winning individual immunity. What is the vote going to be now that Kyle has left? Have you talked to Bryan about this vote? I guess since Kyle left we can just take out Violet or Alex. We'll make it work but it might be in our best interest to throw the next immunity next round to keep the other tribe from going to TC to keep Cam, Travis and Kenya safe since with Kyle they have the majority over them.

Thoughts
Kyle really did leave us, wow. That may suck for Cam, Kenya, and Travis, but it should make this round go smoothly with me, Bryan, and Pete. Everything that Pete approached me saying, I was already thinking. We send Violet home (it sucks so much for her and I feel horrible because she could've won this game) and then throw the next challenge and send Alex home if tribes stay the same. Then we're merge with at least a 5-4 majority and can command the rest of the game. Theoretically. Only glass elevator prizes could stop us. I'm not going to let myself get too overconfident, but if things go well the next round or two, then there's a very good chance my alliance will succeed and I can go to finals. I'm positioned (IMO) really well in the core of this tribe, and I think that I can make it work. After some epic failures in the final two of other games and a few close successes, I also feel like I know how to approach final tribal councils so that I can win them. But for now, I just need to get through the next few rounds because I could end up getting screwed over in another twist like Violet is this round.

Okay, so why are Alex and Violet making absolutely no attempt to even discuss this vote with me, Bryan, and Pete? Did Ben's glass elevator prize get passed on or something? Have they given up? Their lack of conversation attempt makes me more concerned than anything.

You know what, I don't believe this. This chat happened before Kyle left, so I think that Pete was just playing his cards right to keep him from getting 3 votes. Granted he might think that Bryan and I are tight, but we've done nothing publicly to show that we have a close bond so he was probably lying to Alex there. So I think that this is a non-issue now and that everything will proceed smoothly for the vote. I'd like to talk to Bryan and Pete. I think I'm going to send Pete a PM saying Alex is scrambling and trying to split us, but I'm not going to listen to him and think we're good here and next round.

By sending Pete that PM, Alex can't as effectively use what Bryan and I said about targeting Pete against us and loop back around to join Pete and target Bryan. This is super, ultra-important for us to succeed right here and now or Bryan and I could be 10th and 11th. I need to talk to them both ultra-importantly. So I'm PMing Pete, just as an extra cushion although I believe that he and Bryan both currently have votes for Violet to go home.

Pete also needs to step up and admit he was talking to them (or maybe he wants to send them home the next 2 rounds so no one knows) or we have legit reason to believe he will play both sides and send us home. That is really important for our merge plans, or we'll have to change everything. I'm not gonna lie, either, but I believe that Deetster may be cross-tribe chatting with Pete and that this is an influence on what's going on here. Deetster. But there's no evidence to suggest that yet.

I think Alex and Violet have made some "create chaos" plan and are trying to split us, but I'm still voting Violet regardless of what they try to do to persuade me otherwise. I have confirmed that Bryan isn't listening to them either and is still voting for Violet, so we should be good here with 3/5 votes.

Maybe I should just shut up and it would've helped this vote, but no, that's just not what I do. I like rolling under the radar and subtly manipulating things, but if I did nothing here and Bryan or Pete went home, I would've blamed myself for not being able to hold Bryan and Pete together. So I needed to send that PM.

Well, at least I'm playing in a way that I'm not necessarily against Alex, Bryan, or Pete. Heck, I even have a good, justified reason for voting Violet (since she hasn't attempted to talk to me) so if someone unexpectedly goes home, I still have options and haven't burned any bridges.

I have to admit, Alex is playing his cards well. I didn't know what to expect out of him, but he has impressed me strategically regardless of how this round ends.
