Fall From Grace (documentary)

Watched it today. It was a documentary about Fred Phelps and the Westboro Baptist Church.

It would have made me sick, but that "church" is so ridiculous and absolutely ludicrous in the way it practices and approaches things that half the time I was just chuckling. The only thing that really made me sick was the hatespeech spewing out of extremely young children's mouths. That's not teaching your children faith; it's training them to hate.

But yeah, it was good if you can stomach hearing the word "fag" every three seconds out of an ignorant asshole's mouth *shrug*

I'm hoping it wasn't a positive skew on things.

Oh no, it clearly makes them look awful.

The people of Topeka that they interview seem completely and utterly humiliated to have the Phelpses in their city.

Well thank God, they should be.

Like, I was really glad at the lack of followers he has.

It's pretty much just him, 9 of his 13 children (4 of them ran away when they turned 18 and never looked back), and all of his grandchildren and whatnot. It's somewhere around 80-90 people, I think...but that's about it.

Still complete and utter assholes, but at least it's only a small amount.

The one son was really funny though. He was like, "People think that when my dad dies, we're all gonna scatter, but really, we're gonna go into fever pitch. We were weened on this stuff; he wasn't. He didn't grow up with this; we did."

Like...what do they have left to do? Start killing people? Go for it. Then we can officially call you a cult and disband you.
