I am currently reading two books:

The Moon Is A Harsh Mistress by Robert Heinlein &
Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close by Jonathan Safran Foer


The first is for my Sci-Fi class, and the second is for my Young Adult Lit class.




PS - There are a couple topics in Space Junk that now have a place here (Harry Potter, Stephen King, etc.)

yeah, I was gonna move them around tonight, and post some things I've been waiting to, just to fill the place up so it doesn't look all empty.

I'm reading Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire

Deception Point - Dan Brown

I'm still slowly reading eclipse in the twilight series..(I don't even know why I'm reading the series.. but I just want to finish it LOL!) as well as I have "lovely bones" started but not finished. I really need to get into reading again!

"The Unwritten" by Mike Carey

This series is so amazing and fucked up beyond belief. After I'm done with this issue I'm going to be all current and then I'll start reading "Chew"

Just started Wizard and Glass by Stephen King.

Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaat's the best one. Or well...the second best one. I liked The Wastelands a bit more.

Right now I'm reading 'Chew' and it's frekin' incredible.

I'm currently reading... my own novel, hahaha. But I want to sound famous. So *ahem*...

I'm currently reading Step by Step by Jessica Chivers. It's rather marvelous, if I do say so myself.

But not really, since I need to edit the crap out of it.

The Go Between by L. P. Hartley

I'm reading Air...the most beautiful comic in the world.

Everyone in my class hates the book too. I don't. I must be a moron or something.

I read Blood And Chocolate today because I had 3 hours to kill during my community hours :D

The Percy Jackson Series
On Book 3 now, it is awesome, I really like it. The movie wasn't too bad but a lot different from the book

I have been really tempted to read those, Pete. They look like pretty quick reads; true/false?


Also, I just finished Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close. Amazing. If you want something different and kinda heavy, read this book. It's so good. I plowed through it tonight; once it roped me in, I couldn't stop.


Now I move on to The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath

Also I'm reading "Gentlemen Prefer Succubi" and there have been 3 rather hardcore sex scenes so far. One in a church confessional. This book is gross. I swear, if I have to read the word 'clit' one more time I'm going to scream.

Ew, who publishes that word?

EL&IC is about this 9-year-old who is on a mission to discover the final "secret" his dad left behind. His dad died in 9/11, and the kid is determined that his dad, who always encouraged his detectiveyness with little riddles and puzzles, left him one last doozey.

But it's so much more than that. Deep shit, maaaaaaan. Okay, not really, but it's a very good book with a lot of emotion.
