| ...because I haven't finished the series yet, and I don't remember anything from Order of the Phoenix or Half-Blood Prince. I'm glad I started. I knocked out like 180 pages last night without even thinking about it. Once I got past all of the awful caps lock moments of the first few chapters, I was flyin Has everyone here already read these? If so, DON'T SPOIL. | |

| I have read the entire series. Books 3 + 5 are my favorites, and off course the last book, they are all really good. Least favorite book is the 2nd book easily.
Hate the movies however, they are pure crap compared to the books, they are forgettable and a disgrace to the books. It's a shame cause they could have been so much better

| OMG the second book is my faaavorite! I've read it like, six times!
And my least favorite (tentatively of course) is actually the fifth. We'll see if my impression is the same as when I read it the first time (I assume it won't be), but so far, yeah...it was my least favorite.

| I've read the first four books about 5 times at least. The fifth book I've read twice and the sixth and seventh I've only read once each. I'm in the process of rereading them myself but am stuck on the second one again lol, it is hard for me to stay interested in it. | |

| I read the first one in August and beginning of Sept, then started the second one immediately but haven't touched it since, I'll begin reading it again soon, my final semester of college got in the way
There is so much potential for movies and games that it is a shame how bad the movies and games are. Seriously the only thing Harry Potter I like are the books, and I don't necessarily hate the second book, it's just that it doesn't get me lost in the world as well as the others do

| I've only seen the first two movies. I wasn't especially motivated to see any others. I think maaaybe I've seen bits of the third. I'd much rather read the books and get lost in the experience than sit for two/three hours and then be done with it.
As for the games, I refuse to touch pretty much any modern movie-based video game...it's just never worth it.

| The first couple of video games weren't terrible but now they are just pathetic. Hopefully someday they'll make a good game from the Harry Potter series. Wish I knew how to make games cause I would totally do it if I could lol
I saw the first four, and the sixth movie in theaters. Hated them all but still went and saw them. The second movie is the best of them all I think, followed by the second, then the fifth, fourth. The third and sixth are absolute junk though. Don't care for any of them though, cannot stand Daniel Radcliffe and the guy who replaced Richard Harris as Dumbledore is terrible

| I've read the entire series, multiple times, mad HP love ovaaa herrreeee. My least favourite books are definitely 1 and 5. 1 just seems to routine now and 5, although not horrid, is just not really doing it for me. 3, 4, 6 and 7 FTW. | |

| Just finished Order of the Phoenix and discovered that we have an extra copy of Half-Blood Prince in our house...so I can start reading that one tomorrow :D :D :D
The book was muuuch better than I remember, but I also realize that it's the first time I've read a Harry Potter book in...years. The same things bothered me that bothered me the first time around, but I took this one in smaller chunks so I wouldn't forget as much in the future.
Yay! | |

| I'm about halfway through The Half-Blood Prince now. It kinda flies, which is strange, because not a whole bunch happens in the first 300 pages of the book :\ Loving it though, don't get me wrong | |

| I'm about two-thirds of the way through the first one xD I decided to start at the beginning again because it's been so long since I've read the first few.
And Doug, in response to your all-you-can-eat question in one of the other threads, I found this! "When everyone had eaten as much as they could, the remains of the food faded from the plates, leaving them sparkling clean as before. A moment later the desserts appeared." [pg 124] Not exactly a straight forward all-you-can-eat buffet, but it suggests that there is just a ton of food on the table until everyone is finished eating, which is good enough for me :D

| HAY I JUST FINISHED THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE (before you criticize me, Jessie, I didn't read this one at the alarming rate I read the fifth, and I didn't read any of it for like, two days)
Now I can FINALLY, for the first time EVER, open Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. There are so many questions for me to ponder...I'm glad I have to wait a couple days, so I can discuss properly with my friend who ALSO is about to read Deathly Hallows for the FIRST TIME.
I'm so excited. So. Excited.
And Jessie (late response, sorry): THANKS!!!

| I cannot wait to reread Deathly Hallows, its really good, and really different from the others for many reasons. I just started rereading Chamber of Secrets the other day. Once I finish that one I'm sure I'll finish the others rather quickly. | |

| Same here, Pete! I'm about half-way through and I probably won't read any more until tonight. I'm going to try to re-read all of them before I go back to school. | |

| So I'm going to resurrect this topic lmao
I just finished rereading the 3rd book and it reaffirms that the movie is a pile of trash but anyways, I somehow got through the 2nd book and started reading the 3rd, got through it pretty quickly. Now onto the fourth book, though finding time to read it this weekend is going to be difficult, my boyfriend has tons of plans for us Doug, did you ever finish the 7th book, and if so what did you think of it?
