| I have my laptop. It's a 17 inch screen, so it KILLS my back though. When I'm around my apartment, that's what I'm using, but when I'm around the city, or on campus, or in class, I'm on my netbook. | |

| I have an Acer Aspire One, 10.1" screen I love it. It even fits in my purse, so I carry it around EVERYWHERE, lol. It's not the fastest and it doesn't have much memory, but meh. I have an external hard drive and I can deal with it's slowness, lol | |

| I just want a netbook so I can take my work on the go. If I'm writing a paper, I have to write it in my room, which gets really old, really fast...especially when I'm writing papers every week. I need variety!! | |

| Laptop. Dell XPS M1530 bought in May 2008.
It's a fast computer, but it occasionally gets uncomfortably hot. I typically take it with me everywhere.

| I have both...plus a netbook...is that obscene?
The answer is yes. My laptop's very old but it still works so I don't toss it, the netbook is new...but I still use all three on like at least a weekly basis.

It's a fast computer, but it occasionally gets uncomfortably hot. I typically take it with me everywhere. That's a huge issue with Dell. A couple years ago, they had to do a recall because the laptops were getting so hot that they'd just like... explode. Well, not explode, but they'd just catch on fire. I worked at Future Shop, and eeeeeveryone was bringing back these destroyed Dells.

| I have a desktop and a laptop. My laptop is only a couple months old. I have had my desktop since February of 2007. Both have Vista, which I have never had a problem with. At school we had both Mac's and Pc's in the digital imaging lab where I worked and I HATED USING THE MAC. I hate them. I've used them and I'm allowed to have that opinion. lol | |

| I've owned both Macs and PCs, and I don't really have a preference. In fact, ideally, I'd like to have both at the same time, because Macs are waaay amazing for some things, and some things about PCs are just plain easier. Currently I have a PC, because my Mac's screen blew out. The rest of the computer still worked, which was amazing, considering it was reeeeallly old, but the cost of fixing the screen was more than just buying a new desktop, so here I am. | |

| Yeah, my Mac desktop lasted 7 years. It wasn't even broken when I got a new one last year, I just wanted a new one...specifically a PC because I've been doing a lot more gaming and wanted to get a good gaming computer which Macs are not. But I still have my Mac laptop which I used all the time. And is also really old...or at least in normal computer years, it's 4 years old. | |

| Yeah, mine was six years old or something like that when the screen went bad. It's incredible. You brought up a good point. I do have a (that's right, just one) computer game on my PC, and I'm pretty sure playing it on a Mac that wasn't a desktop would just be awkward. And the nice thing was that when my PC wasn't powerful enough to run it, I could just run out, grab the parts I needed and put them in myself. And if I ever want to add something else, same process. It feels good to have so much control over your own computer. | |

| Also a lot of games just don't come 'mac compatible' which is annoying. And then there's Steam......glorious STEAM!!! | |

I BROKE YOUR STUPID CRAP!!!
and of course everyone loves Portal...but I haven't touched HL2 yet, I wanted to play the first one first but I just haven't gotten around to it because I keep getting distracted by other games on Steam to get.

| I have a MacBook Pro Laptop and I LURV it... nothing better. However, I have a desktop that my husband built for me from scratch. It's wicked fast, but my mac can do soooo many more cool things! | |
