Why Facebook Sucks

I hate facebook.

LOL how is South Park so right about so many things?

clearly south park knows how horrible a medium of communication is facebook.

Well it's not ALL horrible, only the people that use it can make it horrible. I use my page as a blog, more or less, to share the links I find awesome with my friends, and it is a convenient way to send a quick message to somebody, far superior to texting in my mind, with a phone call being better than both, and meeting in person being the best communication medium.

But there are people out there that are just terrible socializers, and they take that out on others from the safety of hiding behind a screen, so it's more rampant on Facebook, but people can be just as nasty without a website to hide behind. And then there are the people that invest their entire social lives in the site...


LOL In summation, I can make arguments for and against the site, but since I use it, I would have to argue that it is a positive site filled with negative people.

That is funny, facebook is like highschool sometimes.. it's like OMG and some people take it WAY too seriously.. I mainly use it to talk to some people that I can't get a hold of any other way.. as well as randomly status updates.. I love shuffle status.. when I'm bored.. as well as playing cafe world.. haha and my mom loves to post pictures on there and it's fun sometimes to look through others pictures lol

I lurve FaceBook.


Mainly because I sit and play FarmTown all day/night (not to be confused with Farmville - which sucks). I play this silly little game because it entertains me. As someone who is home every day all day with nothing to do but housework, stare at Koh Phi Phi (my fish) and play with my cat Charlie who seriously demands attention periodically through out my day... I find that FarmTown (along with my Fox News Channel) can sustain me until my hubby gets home from work

Another thing I love about FaceBook is that all of my RLF's minus one or two frequent FB all the time. I get to see their pictures, talk to my friends, laugh joke, etc. I have been able to connect with friends too that have moved away .... And we all know how I cherrish friendships. lol Then there are my online peeps. Like... Michael (musicmuse) .... he may not be at OP but we still send out the love on FB.

And it's funny, I find that the people I talk to most on FB, are my mom, and my sister Stacie. Sometimes, it's just easier.... to communicate there. My mom is at work all day, and although I bug her by phone many times a week, we both know we can get a hold of each other in a quicker manner, if we do so through FB. My Mom knows I am awake when she see's me posting about. We are alike in the manner that we both like our sleep. We both like to sleep late, so she, (and vice versa) wouldnt ever want to wake me up by calling me. And half the time, at night, I turn my ringer off on my cell so I dont get woke up early with some random text or phone call. My friends pretty much know not to call before at LEAST noon... i'm usually not up untill 2pm though.

Back to facebook.

The only thing that I find annoying about FB is some of my liberal friends post crap that makes me want to poke my eyes out with forks. I dont ever comment... don't want to argue with friends and we all know how politics can get...lol I lurve my friends, dont want to fight with them. lol
