How do I tell someone to stop talking to me?

For pretty much no other reason than they irritate me?

There's this kid, and I just don't really want him around. I know this makes me like, a huge uber-dick, but he just irritates me, and I don't have any real interest in talking to him. It's not even that I necessarily need a huge reason to talk to someone. I'll talk to pretty much anyone, because I like conversations and all that, but this kid...he just has nothing interesting to say ever. It's the same thing he always says. Always.

Should I just be like, "Can you talk about something different? kthxbai" ?

Say it exactly like that, and he will understand and leave you alone.

ORGPlanet Member Help has noticed your situation and would like to give input for your review and consideration.

You have an aquaintance that does not necessarily have something interesting to say and in general his topics of discussion are repeated over and over again. Perhaps it may be wise to suggest another topic of your interest and help guide the conversation away from the same things he speaks of. He may not know how to approach you because he is unsure of your interests and truly just wants a friend.

If you do not want this person to speak to you, I think you may just have to say something like "I find our interests may differ quite a bit, have you found anyone who has similar interests as you do?"

If his answer is no, perhaps you can offer assistance in finding a group that has the same topics of interest.
