Square Enix and their damn PR crap

Hey All,

My rant is mini due to me being at work and using company time to rant if Thian tells my manager, i will murder him

Anyways, i found out few days ago that SE released Final Fantasy XIV benchmark program for the public who has interest in buying the game down the line after its release... the problem is, unless my search skills are crap, i cannot find the MINIMUM requirements of PC specs to at least run the bechmark... my computer is very old to a point that its becoming obsolete ( 7 years old) and i cannot run the program, it gives me errors. I went to SE's site to get more info on what type of specs needed, NOTHING...how is that possible? Don't they want people to play the game or at least provide Specs information to gamers who is interested in playing but don't have the proper computer to use and would like to upgrade or buy a brand new PC?

IMO, SE or shall i say, Square Soft [Orginal game developers of Final Fantasy], provide one of the best RPG franshise series, Final Fantasy, but SE is one of the worst company to promote their product....they should hire a good advertising agency for PR..

I havent ever played any games on my computer, I just play games on my PS3. Although there have been a few that have come out that I wouldnt mind playing on my comp... I just dont know anything about running a game on a comp and what kind of equipment you might/might not need.

Also, thian better not tell on you, I'll have to go all Ninja on his ass if he does. lol

Yeah, I didn't even know FFXIII had come out until it did, HAHA, they seem to not really promote all that much.

I must say though I do prefer console gaming over PC gaming anytime. I am sure PC gaming has its perks and what not, but I guess I was sold on Atari and NES consoles that I haven't looked back at PC to game at all. besides like flash games that are mindless to play or Spider solitaire.

I would have to agree though that i love Console gaming over PC gaming any day..with the exception of online. Online gaming is more suited for PC, example: WoW, EQ and Final Fantasy XI. Having played both version (PC and Console) of FFXI, powerful graphics on PC, and also, you keep your PC on 24/7 with no issues with over heating unlike console version where life expectancy is shortened for long excessive play time

I'm absolutely awful at FPSs with a controller, so the only thing I play on the computer as opposed to the console is Half-Life 2.

Yeah, I will only play FPS shit on a console, it isn't as much fun for me with a controller, I just don't get it.

huh, I have heard taht FPS's are better on consoles as well. Wonder why that is, compared to controller.

Wait...are you guys talking about computers or consoles (like PS3, Xbox, etc)?

Because when I talk about consoles, I'm automatically talking about controllers.

When I talk about computer, I usually assume mouse/keyboard (though I know this isn't always the case).

I am thinking the way you are Doug. I meant to say "computer" and not "console" when saying I only play FPS on a console. I confused you and it was wrong.
