CALIGULA'S STATEMENT/QUESTION Empty
PostSubject: Re: CALIGULA'S STATEMENT/QUESTION   CALIGULA'S STATEMENT/QUESTION EmptyWed Jun 16, 2010 12:18 am

Clearly I'm going to make mine the longest and most self-indulgent because I am the best here, and must prove it in my jury statement!

Lol, anyway though, I actually won't be doing that no worries. I'll rant about my opinions on you two. You both played very different, but in my opinion very good games. I don't believe that you truly dominated this game Caesar, and I don't think you did either Jackson. There was at least one time both of you were surprised by an event of the game that at least I was around for, but I have a feeling everything was pretty smooth sailing for you once I was out of the game (I'm not cockily suggesting this is because I was out of the game), so I can't really say you guys didn't have good control after that point, cause you both definitely did.

This is an interesting dynamic to examine though. Someone could say Jackson rode your coattails to get to this point, Caesar, and some can say you rode physical dominance, and I never vote "bodies" to win, I vote "minds" to win. What I do believe is that you, from the onset Caesar, made yourself out to be a threat, and it was pretty obvious what was going on. I knew you were going to flip to the other side the moment you voted with Wang for Isabella, and that my only shot in this game was to become an emotionally wrecked shell, and act like everyone should save my powerless self from you and people who follow you. You did set things up so that there was really nothing I could do once we got to 11 though. I kept flicking switches and after saying something about Jackson to Wang, and having Jackson IMing me not to say things about him, and knowing who voted where at the Isabella vote, all the pieces fell into place, and I knew I was officially screwed, and my pleading would not work. Even going against the best option that you guys wanted out once me and Khufu were out wouldn't work. So you definitely set all those pieces up well Caesar, and I credit that to you. However, it became obvious really early that you were making these moves, and they were pretty out in the open, which in my opinion may or may not have made you winning all those immunities a requirement. One you made, sure, but like I said, mind over body.

Jackson on the other hand really surprised everyone I think, and that is a huge thing in my opinion. The way I like to play based on me acting "emotionally" and not "strategically" (That's what you want people to think, and that's how you sometimes get people to make moves they wouldn't make if they thought you were a total power player), is to play by putting on shows. It's not about just straight up lying, or avoiding conversations. A lot of the game is about portrayal, and how you portray yourself to be something else in order to get by and make better moves. I think everyone knew what you were really early Caesar, unlike Wang who I think tricked half of these people for a long time, and Jackson who tricked many, even Wang, into thinking he wouldn't make moves he would. I think Jackson played this facet of the game remarkably, and he really surprised a lot of people, and anyone who says he shouldn't be here for whatever reason are saying how they feel:

"He shouldn't be here. How the hell did he get here without my concent? I mean....I knew Caesar would with how he played and his immunity wins...but Jackson, now THAT was something I didn't see coming final 15."

Idk though, it is impressive nonetheless Caesar that you were seen as what you are, and no one got rid of you earlier in the game.

So with this rant, I will now ask questions. This rant served no purpose other than me venting, and to help you guys know what things are from my possibly biased, possibly misguided perspective.

First, I want you both to say anything I'm spot on about, or anything I'm way off with. I was only here until the final 11, not even halfway, so you gotta understand that I didn't have time to be immersed in this thing with you guys, and discover and learn things I either had wrong or I didn't get to learn yet.

Second, tell me how much of the decisions you made were partially related to thinking about the jury period. This includes sparing certain feelings, getting rid of A over B, and taking some person X to some point X. Give me some examples of those moves and choices.

Lastly, Had You not won immunity Caesar, and the other two were to have taken each other, or to you Jackson, had Churchil won and taken Caesar, or Caesar not have taken you, who do you think you would have voted to win and why?

(If that lost you, I basically asked if Churchill was in your place, by whatever means, would you vote for your opponent or Churchill) Go relatively deep into why, but...don't knock yourselves out.

That's all I really want to know, aside from more informative and cleverly geared questions created by players who got to be with you for much longer than I have. Thanks, and either way, you both really deserve to be here, so don't take anyones crap too seriously, cause where the hell are we?! Not there.

Exactly, good luck, good job.

I'm way off with. I was only here until the final 11, not even halfway,
so you gotta understand that I didn't have time to be immersed in this

I didn't get to learn yet.

I think you're wrong in saying that my game was very body over mind. My game was completely mind over body. I never once needed a single immunity at merge. I was completely safe with or without those immunities. Winning the immunities to me was more for my own self gratification. I'm a very competitive person. I do not like to lose. So winning the challenges was merely to prevent other people from winning so I could vote them out. I also think you're wrong in believing that Jackson made a conscience decision to make himself look naive to seem less threatening. It wasn't apart of his strategy. It's who he was in this game. He played on pure emotion and not logic.

You are completely right on the fact that everyone knew what kind of threat I was capable of becoming. In a strategic sense with making the huge completely risky move of voting out Isabella as well as a physical threat in the challenges. I said that at one point I went from being public enemy number one to becoming absolutely untouchable. In this game I left myself open to have a lot of options. If plan A didn't work, I always had plan B and sometimes I even had plan C up my sleeve. The prime example of this is that I put myself in a great position. I was in a final three alliance with Wang and Jackson as well as one with Napoleon and Mussolini. I had choices. I had options. Jackson never had these options to him. The only thing Jackson had to rely on was his alliance with Wang and I. If I wanted Jackson gone at any point, he would have went home. I easily could have done it in several different rounds of the game. Jackson would never have been able to get rid of me.

Second, tell me how much of the
decisions you made were partially related to thinking about the jury
period. This includes sparing certain feelings, getting rid of A over B,
and taking some person X to some point X. Give me some examples of
those moves and choices.

I never gave someone more time in the game for jury votes. I always voted out a person that I felt was the biggest threat to me at that very moment or the most immediate threat to me down the road. I did try to become personally involved with a lot of people. I tried my best to individually get to know everyone and build a friendship. This originally started out as game but a lot of the people that I formed those bonds with.. I was fully intent on staying that person's friend.

Lastly, Had You not won immunity Caesar,
and the other two were to have taken each other, or to you Jackson, had
Churchil won and taken Caesar, or Caesar not have taken you, who do you
think you would have voted to win and why?

I would have voted for Jackson to win. Even though I played a far superior game in my opinion than Jackson, I feel like he at least put more time and effort into the game than Churchill. This game was very different from the way Churchill normally plays. I don't think his heart was completely in it and that's why my vote would have gone to Jackson.

First of all, thank you for your kind words. Secondly, THANK YOU for noticing that about me. I had a hard time putting it into words, but that was my whole deal.

" a lot of the game is about portrayal, and how you portray yourself to be something else in order to get by and make better moves. I think everyone knew what you were really early Caesar, unlike Wang who I think tricked half of these people for a long time, and Jackson who tricked many..."

Just on a quick note to the ORG world: If you are waiting for to be super power cut throat man, don't hold your breath. It will NEVER happen. I feel like my niche in this game was to do exactly what you said, deet. I had to find out what everyone needed and become that. Oh, you have a father complex? Let me be daddy? What? You're lonely, k, I'll be your boyfriend. You miss your mother? Well, I don't know how this will work, but call me mommy. And I was honest about those unique relationships. I felt that I presented myself as a unique and friendly asset. So you are right about that. And you're overall assessment is really good, so good work.

Second, tell me how much of the decisions you made were partially related to thinking about the jury period. This includes sparing certain feelings, getting rid of A over B, and taking some person X to some point X. Give me some examples of those moves and choices.

Ho-hum. This is a good question. I never in my LIFE expected to make it to the end. So, a lot of the things I did or relationships I made or how I handled them were never with a jury in mind. It was a kind of, shoot first ask questions later mentality. I think when I got to the final 6 and we had to blindside Wang is when I was like, holy shit, I can really make it to the end. So at that point, I had to find a way to present myself not as a better player than Tim, but as a different one with my own convictions. I don't know how close people thought I was to Tim. So, my goal was to finish out the plan which was taking Matt to the final 4 and Eric to the final 3 and PRAY they forgive me.

I would have expected that first of all because I was always prepared for a blindside. Tim kept every single word he made to me though. If Churchill took Caesar, I would vote for Tim because I promised him I would. If Casar took Churchill, that would have been a tough pill to swallow. But even in that circumstance, I would swallow my pride and honor my promise to Tim and give him my vote.
