| Warning! The following is an org dedicated to the cylons of the television show Battlestar Galactica. In the show, one of the big plot points is 'who among us is a Cylon?' And that lasts for the whole series until all of them are revealed. So if you ever want to watch the show. Ever. And do not want to be spoiled as to who the Cylons are (all of them), please DO NOT read this thread. You have been warned. . . . . The Cylons were created by Man. They were created to make life easier on the Twelve Colonies. And then the day came when the Cylons decided to kill their masters. After a long and bloody struggle, an armistice was declared. The Cylons left for another world to call their own. A remote space station was built... Where Cylon and human could meet and maintain diplomatic relations. Every year, the Colonials send an officer... The Cylons send no one. No-one has seen or heard from the Cylons in over forty years... The robots known as the Cylons (Cybernetic Life-form Nodes) are a creation of humanity. The first Cylons were sentient bipedal robots used primarily for dangerous work such as mining. Created long before the Articles of Colonization united the twelve sovereign governments, the Cylons were also used as soldiers to fight inter-colony wars. But, the Cylon hatred and envy of humanity ran deep within their programming. 52 years ago, the Cylons revolted against their masters, resulting in a costly and protracted twelve-year war between the machines and humans. Both Cylon and human took heavy tolls as Cylon basestars, Colonial battlestars, Raiders and Vipers clashed in many battles. Eventually, the two sides declared an armistice. The Cylons become exiled from the Colonies to establish their own homeworld. The unified worlds of the Colonies created a space station for maintaining diplomatic relations. However, the Cylons ignored this overture. In their exile, the Cylons continued in secret to work towards the destruction of the human race, devising an elaborate plan to wipe out the Twelve Colonies through nuclear bombardment, computer sabotage, infiltration and vast numbers of modernized battleships. In addition to a modernized version of the original Cylon warrior, the cybernetic race now also exists in a humanoid form used as the prime infiltrators in Colonial society. The humanoid Cylons can express joy, love, anger, and sadness, expressing genuine human behavior in almost every way. The Cylons return forty years after their exile in a genocidal surprise attack. The Cylons annihilate the Colonial Fleet and billions of people, killing all but approximately 52,000 humans. But what if they had killed ALL of the humans? Would in-fighting eventually lead to their demise? Let's find out. The Game will run for 3 weeks at the latest, but it will NOT be a mini. Because of my busy work schedule, the round format will be unique to other games you may have played. If a challenge/TC is held on a Friday, Saturday or Sunday night, everything will be the same as a normal org. Monday/Tuesday/Wednesday/Thursday rounds will be slightly different and encompass the whole of two days. Let's say it will be held over the period of a Monday and Tuesday. On Monday, we will have a full day challenge. You will not need to be at your computer for a full day- it will be very relaxed. Challenge results will be posted that night or the following morning, and then you will have all of Tuesday to cast your vote. 15+ Hours to vote from IC results could have a crazy impact on the game. And speaking of Tribal Councils, they will now be called 'Boxing Ceremonies.' In the Cylon culture, voting and majority rule is a way of life. When one Cylon gets out of hand, the rest vote on who should be Boxed- meaning which Cylon's memories should be put away into cold storage. Forever. Interested in being a Cylon? Don't know much about them? I totally understand, that's why in my following posts I will be doing character profiles for all 15 choices of Cylon. You can find these profiles here: http://z7.invisionfree.com/Games_That_Suck/index.php?showtopic=1201 The game is set to begin next Friday (4/9) if we have a full cast. Love, PS: Thanks to Blondzilla for the avatars! | |

| Cylon Centurion Model 0005 (Original Centurion) The Cylon War Centurion models, created and designed by scientists of the Twelve Colonies of Kobol, are models of Cylon used in various heavy to light labor and military applications until they rebelled, resulting in the first Cylon War.http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Cylon_Centurion_Model_0005 Cylon Centurion (Modern Centurion) The Cylon Centurion is a fully armored, metallic automaton that functions as the basic foot-soldier of the Cylon ground forces. http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Cylon_Centurion The Final Five The term "Final Five" collectively describes five of the twelve Cylon humanoid models, namely Samuel Anders, Tory Foster, Ellen Tigh, Saul Tigh, and Galen Tyrol, whose identities were lost to the majority of the Cylon populace. These five Cylons are the descendants of the Thirteenth Tribe, ancient humanoid artificial life forms created by humans on Kobol thousands of years ago. They are also the creators of the so-called Significant Eight Cylons. The phrase "final five" was coined for them because they were the last five humanoid Cylon models to be revealed, although they actually pre-date the others. They are also referred to simply as "the Five". Ellen TighEllen Tigh is the wife of Colonel Saul Tigh, a genius scientist, and a Final Five Cylon. According to Sam Anders, she spearheaded the experiments that allowed Cylons to resurrect. She and the other four members of the Final Five Cylons are responsible for creating the humanoid Cylons that planned and carried out the Cylon Holocaust.
According to William Adama, her marriage to Saul Tigh was the reason that he took to drinking. While her husband was away from home, she apparently "went through half the (Colonial) fleet" in her sexual promiscuity. During the occupation of New Caprica, she collaborated with the Cylons and was killed by her husband, only to download to a Cylon Resurrection Ship. Besides Anders who regained his memories due to a bullet to the brain, Ellen was the only one of the Final Five to ever regain her full memories which was due to her resurrection after Saul poisoned her to death in her old body.
http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Ellen_Tigh The Final FiveSamuel AndersBefore the Fall of the Twelve Colonies, Anders was captain of the Caprica Buccaneers. On Cylon-occupied Caprica, he becomes leader of the human resistance until they are rescued by his future wife. He later becomes aware of his true nature as one of the Cylon "Final Five."
During his life on Earth, he also composed a song identical to the modern "All Along the Watchtower" by Bob Dylan.http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Sam_Anders The Final FiveTory FosterShe was the Presidential Chief of Staff for Laura Roslin. It was later revealed that Tory is a Final Five Cylon (an identity she embraces to an extent far greater than her cohorts). She appears to have embraced both being a Cylon, allowing her to by-pass such feelings of guilt and adopt an almost hedonistic approach to life. She declares herself to be "perfect."http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Tory_Foster The Final FiveGalen TyrolTyrol was born on Earth during its last days. He was a senior researcher in a special team attempting to recover downloading technology, which had been lost since the founding of the colony. His work was considered key. In his first body, he wore glasses. He was planning to marry fellow team member Tory Foster. The two of them were lovers and shared living quarters. He arrived at the colonies during the first Cylon war, and helped construct the eight humanoid Cylons. He was betrayed, killed and boxed by Number One, who later resurrected him with false memories and planted him in the colonies for his next life cycle.
Often referred to as "Chief", is the highest ranking NCO remaining aboard Galactica. He served aboard battlestars from the age of eighteen, including Columbia, Atlantia, and Pegasus (Resistance). However, when people under his responsibility are injured, threatened or killed, Tyrol becomes rather irrational, angry, and reckless in his actions, to the point of further endangering his people or his reputation with senior officers.
After his self-discovery as a Cylon, and his almost suicidal depression over it, he seems to have accepted it, but is still struggling with coming to terms with what it means.http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Galen_Tyrol The Final FiveSaul TighSaul Tigh is the Executive Officer (XO) of Galactica. A tough but troubled man with a long history of alcoholism, Tigh has false memories of having served in the Colonial Fleet since his teenage years, seeing action in the First Cylon War. He is married to Ellen Tigh.http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Saul_Tigh The Significant EightThe seven surviving models of the Significant Eight were the first seven Cylons to be revealed to the Colonials. With the exception of Number Seven, whose entire line was sabotaged, there are many copies of each model, all totaling in the millions according to Number One and Ellen Tigh. The identities of these mechanized copies are determined by their model and each model is unique. These models were designed by the Final Five.Number One (John Cavil) The Number One model was the first model created by the Final Five, and assisted them in creating the other models of the Significant Eight. Unfortunately, the Number Ones eventually rebelled against the Five and exiled them to the Twelve Colonies with their memories erased. Prior to this, they eradicated the entire Number Seven model line out of jealousy, and secretly programmed their brothers and sisters of the other six models to lose all knowledge of their makers. The Number One model was given the name John by the Final Five, but does not like this appellation.
Ones do not appear to subscribe to overall theology of the Cylons, but adhere to group consensus, and often are persuasive leaders. Ones have displayed a condescending attitude toward the beliefs of the other six known Cylons at times.http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Number_One The Significant EightNumber Two (Leoben Conoy) Number Two, better known as Leoben Conoy, has shown to be mystically oriented--making references to the oneness of the universe, the illusion of time, etc.--and claims to be prescient on some level, albeit with a known propensity for intermixing truth with falsehoods.
Two can be likened to the serpent of the Genesis tale in the Earth Christian Bible, taunting people with knowledge, then watching as the negative consequences come into devastating fruition. http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Number_Two The Significant EightNumber Three (D'Anna Biers) Number Three is a model of humanoid Cylon, female, blonde, and marked by a religious curiosity—notably surrounding the verboten Final Five—that sets her against the other Cylon models, notably the Number Ones.
Threes are among the most calculating and duplicitous models shown to-date, even manipulating and deceiving other models if they feel warranted, though they've got nothing on the duplicity and manipulations of the Number Ones.
After the Threes defy other Cylon models in their attempt to discern the identity of the five missing Cylon humanoids, the other Cylons conclude that the Three model has an inherent flaw that threatens their overall reliability. After the failure on the algae planet to gather information on the path to Earth, the Cylons have all Number Three models boxed indefinitely. http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Number_Three The Significant EightNumber Four (Simon O'Neill) Number Four is a humanoid Cylon that speaks calmly and purposefully, and tends to use logic as a means for his operation or resolving issues. He resembles a tall, somewhat thin middle-aged black man who speaks in a comforting strong voice. Simon is a model based primarily on human intellectualism and logic. Apparently the infiltrators of this type take a medical appraoch to killing people and don't seem to do it outright with violence. http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Number_Four The Significant EightNumber Five (Aaron Doral) Number Five models are more covert than others, assuming an ordinary "everyman" appearance that's blended in what may seem to be insignificant behind-the-scenes issues (such as converting Galactica into a museum). Of all the models thus far, the Number Five models are among the most militant, fanatic, and consistent in message and objectives to the Cylon objectives, whether he is dispassionately discussing the fate of humanity with his comrades or attempting to kill or maim Colonials in a suicide bomb attack.
This model attempts to sow the seeds of discontent or confusion, particularly during crucial life-threatening situations, and endeavors to undermine authority that threatens his objectives.http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Number_Five The Significant EightNumber Six (Shelly Godfrey/Gina Inviere/Natalie Faust/Lida/Sonja/Caprica) Number Six is stunningly beautiful, promiscuous and sensual, this model utilizes the human need and desire for sexual relations to her advantage. She tends to be very religious and monotheistic. Number Six desires to know what it is to be alive. There is something inherently mysterious about her, more so than with the other models. Sixes have been described as "usually so hardcore", referring to their tendencies towards violence.
Sixes are the only model who appear not to have one particular "human name", copies have appeared under the aliases "Shelly Godfrey", "Gina Inviere", "Natalie Faust", "Lida", "Sonja", and "Caprica" (in honor of her work on Caprica towards the destruction of the Colonies). Six is also the only model known to exhibit significant variations in appearance -- several different hairstyles and hair colors have been noted -- as well as noticable differences in personality, ranging from idealistic (Caprica) to assertive and take-charge (Natalie) to wide-eyed and innocent (Lida).
This highly driven model is marked by a ruthlessness against all who stand in her way.http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Number_Six The Significant EightNumber Seven (Daniel) Number Seven, also known as "Daniel", was one of eight humanoid Cylon models created by the Final Five. A favorite of Ellen Tigh, she remembers Number Seven as creative, sensitive, and an artist.
After she becomes fully-aware of her true self, Ellen reveals that the Sevens were destroyed by Number One decades before the second Cylon War. Cavil was angry at her, their "mother", for playing favorites, and in a fit of jealousy he contaminated the amniotic fluid used to gestate the Seven copies and corrupted the genetic formula.
No copies of Number Seven model survived.http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Number_Seven The Significant EightNumber Eight (Sharon Valerii/Agathon-Boomer/Athena) "Number Eight" is one of the twelve humanoid Cylon models. She is the youngest in both fact and appearance and generally associated with the name "Sharon" when interacting with humans. Eights are known for being more empathic and compassionate than the other Cylons.
Humans have particularly been exposed to two specific copies, Sharon "Boomer" Valerii, a "sleeper" agent who served on board Galactica believing herself to be one of the human crew while unknowingly programmed as a saboteur and assassin, and Sharon "Athena" Agathon, who was assigned to seduce Karl "Helo" Agathon on the planet Caprica, but fell in love with him and defected to the human side, replacing Boomer as a Colonial officer on Galactica.http://en.battlestarwiki.org/wiki/Number_Eight | |
