| That would change the game again? Annie and I were talking about this yesterday, and Cory and I were talking about it a bit the other day... Some of the biggest gameplay changes in Survivor have been the shuffle, exile island, and hidden immunity idols.
Basically we've got a combination of gameplay aspects that are expected, and anyone who watches enough knows exactly which strategies to employ to beat em. So I'm wondering what you think they could do to make the game new and exciting again.
Some of the more obvious ones to ORGers are one tribe, constant shuffles, secret tribes, etc. And then there are the more gimmicky Big Brother twists with pairs, couples, relatives, etc. What would you want to see? What wouldn't you want to see?

| I told you my take on it. Like, keeping the hidden immunity idol on exile island or whatever, but you have 5 starter clues to choose from and only 1 will actually lead to the idol. So at the very least that shit will be harder to find.
But I would really like none to lead to the idol, and just fuck with everyone's head.

| I like the pairs idea.... everyone is paired up with someone else on the other tribe and no one knows who is paired with who. It would be interesting come merge time to see if people try to avoid eachother or not. Also, I would like to see a season with no tribes. Its all individual from the beginning! | |

| Dude, I would personally like it if they added an aspect, and completely got rid of the old ones. No HIIs at all, no Exile Island (though it looks like they've done away with that, THANK GOD). If they REALLY wanted to keep Exile, they should do it RIGHT, where you don't automatically know what is going to get to there. Maybe it's part of the challenge, maybe it's someone from the winning tribe, but next time the losing tribe. Maybe it's the person who wins Individual Immunity (how bittersweet ). Just like...make people think. And YES for no tribes. I would love every single minute of that. | |

| I think they should get all people who speak different languages and put them on a tribe and see what happens. - Spoiler:
The answer is the ratings will plummet.
I would also like them to stop with the islands....I mean really.....I know they want everyone to get naked......but just do ONE season in a place where it's cold.

| They're NEVER gonna do a cold place, but I would like to see another location that's off-the-wall, like Africa. Find something new. There are plenty of places in the world. Remember when they wanted to go to Jordan for season four? Can you imagine what that woulda been like??? | |

| So I'm reading through synopses for Expedition Robinson (the original Swedish Survivor series), and the second season's big twist sounds AWFUL. Like, America would be pissed off, I feel. They had a player called a "joker" who didn't start playing until the merge, which was fifteen days into the game.
WTF?
Needless to say, he was voted off just as quickly as he came in.

| Ew, they kept it for at least the next season! (which, by the way, featured four tribes split by gender...this was their third season...remember when American Survivor waited until Exile Island to do that? LOL) | |

| Oh, and I forgot to mention: on the second and third seasons of Expedition Robinson, the tribe that lost Immunity was not responsible for voting off one of their members. The winning tribe voted off a member of the losing tribe.
Interesting, huh? | |

| Oooooh, Season 5 of Expedition Robinson did something interesting: instead of the jury just automatically getting to vote, each finalist was allowed to pick 3 out of the last nine people left to vote, amounting to six. Then, the last three votes were given to the viewing public, totaling what would equal nine votes. THAT is interesting...at least the picking your jury member part. I'm learning things here | |

| Just read this insanity:
Expedition Robinson: 2005, was the ninth version of Expedition Robinson, or Survivor as it is referred to in some countries, to air in Sweden and it aired in 2005. The major twist this season was that the contestants were divided into tribes based on their annual salleries, with the North team being the "rich" team and the South team being the "poor" team. Another twist was that of the change in voting format, each contestants were given thirteen votes that they could use at anytime and in any amount. Robert Drakwind, formerly known as Robert Andersson, returned to compete for a third time since 1999 along with his girlfriend, Anna Carin Wase. Both were "jokers" and did not enter the competition until episode 3. Both jokers became "chiefs" of one of the tribes and were given immunity at all pre-merge tribal councils, however from episode 4 on they could be challenged by any member of their tribe for the position of chief. If challenged, the chief and challenger would face off in a duel in which the winner would become chief and the loser would be eliminated from the competition. The final twist of the season was that of the "Finalist Island". Introduced in a challenge immediately preceding the merge, contestants would compete in a series of duels in which the winner would earn a spot on Finalist Island. The two contestants left on Finalist Island when only seven contestants were left would have immunity up until the final four, while the remaining five contestants not on the island would have to compete for the two remaining spots. Karolina and Max were the last two contestants on Finalist Island. Ultimately, Karolina Conrad went on to win the season with a jury vote of 6-5 over Max Stjernfelt.

| No Limite (Brazilian Survivor) season 1:
On the season finale, the second-to-last immunity challenge divided the players in two teams. The winning team (Elaine and Pipa) advanced for the finals, while the losing team (Andréa and Juliana) was automatically eliminated.
The Final Two faced off for the final immunity challenge, which was an extremely grueling, multi-part challenge, and the most elaborate challenge of the entire season, often combining elements from previous challenges.
This method held up through the entire series. No jury.
Also, the fourth season of No Limite lasted 62 days...

| Last Hero 6: Lost in the Paradise, Russia's Survivor, featured a single tribe for the first week. Three people were voted off during this time. THEN they split into tribes.
America needs to get with it, man.

| Yeah, it appears they do a whole lot more effing around with the actual skeleton of the game, instead of just modifying some of the external stuff. | |

| But you have to understand...networks don't like to change the format of something too much when they know it works, because people don't like change and they will lose ratings. | |

| The problem is that you don't want it to just become Big Brother on an island. There are some things that just can't be done. Survivor is always about using yourself, and how you can bring others to further yourself in the game.
Pairing people, or having no jury just degrades the game.
I'd say yes to one tribe, that would change the whole dynamic of the game. A tribal split later would make it even more juicy.
