If you could start your life over - as in walk out the door and forget the sphere you lived in...would you do it?

This sounds really boring, but I was kinda talking about this with someone last night, but there's only one thing I'd do differently. There are a lot of things I wish I'd done that I didn't, but the consequences are such that I'd be afraid to take it back, ya know? That being said, the only thing I'd do differently would be to not switch my major. I think I'd feel so much more prepared for life, I'd feel like I had a purpose, and I wouldn't totally hate what I'm doing now lol.

That's basically asking if you would commit suicide. Without your specific life experiences would you even be you anymore?

Alright, Debbie, lol. But yeah, that's why I only would change one thing. I'd keep all my other life experiences. Major change wouldn't do a whole lot to my personal essence (how new age does that sound? lol)

I once had an oportunity to move to Florida with a friend when i was 20. I would have had to ... leave everything... behind and start over. I almost did it but, was too attatched to personal belongings .... I couldnt just leave it all.

Today, If I could walk out the door and start over somewhere else ... Id do it, if I could .... take my belongings, pets and husband with me. Id be willing to start over, completely ....... id be picky though where I ended up. I wouldnt live in a state that had a state income tax. I wouldnt live in a state that didnt have a coastline. (Lakes are not beaches, I dont care how big the lake is.... Those of you up north around the great lakes seem to think you have beaches. ha). ... It wouldnt bother me to leave family behind. It wouldnt bother me if I had to get a job in a new place... etc...

I basically AM leaving my life behind soon, lol.

Beginning of May, I'll be leaving my friends, family, school, and most of my belongings, and starting over in a new continent.

I'm really excited too. I'm miserable here. But I was letting myself stay miserable, because I didn't think I COULD leave my life behind. I had it in my mind that I made my bed and now I had to sleep in it. That's when I realized that if I wasn't happy, I couldn't sit around and WAIT for my life to change. So I made it change myself Smile

But DJ specifically said to "forget". If that's the question though, then no. Even if I'm not happy where I am right now, I love who I've become. I'd never want to just forget my friends and my family and my experiences. I just love the fact that I'm able to start a new life, but still keep all my old ties.

Well starting over, yes, I'd love to do that. That would be a lot of fun in my opinion. But just stepping into a world where all your past actually doesn't exist and you can't remember it, a REAL clean slate...that just seems so morbid to me. I am worried for DJ that he asked.
