because when I do, I feel no obligation to have a tidy room.
So here's what I'm going to do. I'm going to embarrass myself by posting pictures of my room here, and then I will clean my room and post the results of the cleaning. You will hold me to this. I can't guarantee I'll be done tonight, but I can't go past tomorrow night. My mission shall be to have the room in visitor-condition by Friday at 11:59pm. Hopefully I get it done faaar before that.
Now, here are the pics. Please believe me when I say I don't live like this when I'm living with other people. Hopefully Zach can kinda attest to that...
THE ENTRANCE TO MY ROOM: Notice the rug and the yoga mat getting their freaky on right there in the middle of everything. Oh, and my random alarm clock coming from the bathroom...and the workout equipment that has not moved since I moved in (mostly because I don't have the room to use them...too much just).
THE RIGHT SIDE: When you enter through the little hall and look right, this what you see. A big jumble of crap that I don't have a place for yet. There are clean clothes that I haven't put into drawers...which are about a foot away. A cooking pot that is not mine...various other junk.
MY WORK DESK AND BOOKSHELF: This one will entertain you when you see another picture. Note the lack of books on the bookshelf...clearly the plush duck is more important...And my work desk? Doesn't look like I could get a whole bunch of work done, does it? Nooope...
THE FRIDGE: Random shit on fridge.
THE DRESSER AND VIDEO GAME SHELF: Note the lack of clothing actually IN the dresser...and for some reason, my video games are completely disorganized. This should never happen considering I rarely play them during the semester.
MY BED: Unmade and covered in stuff. How does my bed get covered in stuff? Well, it is the stuff that would normally be on my computer desk chair. When I'm awake, it goes on the bed. When I want to go to bed, it goes on the chair...it never actually goes anywhere it should

THE NOOK: All right, here's the kicker. Remember that empty bookshelf and those empty drawers? Take a look at this. Plenty of books to put on those shelves, and more than enough clothing to put in those drawers. It seriously looks like I moved in and never organized anything...

And finally...
THE COMPUTER DESK: This is especially messy, but it is cluttered, and the items cluttering it are quite eclectic. Please notice the jelly from my sandwich this morning, the random Sprite bottle... and my printer...which sits on my computer tower, and the desk lamp sitting on top of a can of salt. WTF DOUG, REALLY?

Okay, so ridicule my messiness whilst I clean. Make me feel awful for living like this. I will post recovery pictures as they happen...
