I think I know what I want for my next tattoo...

I want to get a Traveling Buddha above the tattoo I already have on my ankle. I currently have one there that says "smile. keep your chin up" and there's a smiley face next to it.

I'm still working on some of the symbolism like if I want him holding any specific items, what image should be in the background (I assume that I'll make it something that is symbolically what I'd like to leave behind), coloring, and whether I want to keep in in a keystone shape or not (it will be somewhat keystone shaped no matter what, since I'm measuring it out to fit the area from my high-ankle to lower-calf).

If I get it, this will be my third tattoo, and it'll be my very first with color

Whats the one with the crosses?

It's called a Jerusalem cross. It's used for many things, but in my case it's from a retreat I went on a bunch of times called Kairos. One of those life-changing experinces that leaves a permanent mark

I know where I want to put everyone of these. Its just a matter of going to get them. They are all fairly small! The next one I am getting is my friends initials.

I'm not a fan of tattoos. I don't even like putting painkillers into my body. Not sure how I'd feel about having ink permanently injected into me, lol.

Plus my brother has a tattoo of a killer clown on his back. I think that might have scarred me.

But if I WAS to ever get one, it would be one of my favourite quotes: "Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about things that matter"

I'm scheduling an appointment for my first tattoo soon...I'm going to schedule before the end of the month for an appt in either Feb or March.

you schedule appts to get a tattoo?

I just go to the tattoo shop and tell them what i want. No appt. required....??

A lot of places I've looked into require you to schedule an appointment ahead of time. Which is fine with me. I think it's because they are booked for weeks at a time, so

It depends where you go and what you want. I like to go to someone and have a consult and they design something for me. But also my tattoos tend to be a little more involved. Though I did get a feather once that was just 'show up and pick some flash' which turned out fine, but it's not the best.
