Pet peeves...

The little things that annoy you. Maybe they aren't anything big, or maybe there's no real reason for why it bothers you, but damn when people do it...you just wanna punch a baby.

Here's one of mine:

I HAAATE when I'm sitting at a computer and first off, someone's leaning waaay into you over your shoulder to the point where if you turned heads you'd be doing something indecent. Then the person tells you to go somewhere/do something on the computer YOU'RE using, but then before you've even got the chance to process their request, their fucking hand is on your mouse. By the time you register what happened, they're long on their way.

Ya know what I have to say to these people? Get your own damn computer and stfu or just grow a sac of patience and wait for me to finish what I'm doing so I can assist you.

Hahaha, that reminds me of something: when someone calls your cell phone from their cell phone, and then leave a voicemail that just says, "Hey, it's so-and-so, call me."

1. I know it's you. It shows up on my phone.

2. I figured I'd call you when I realized that I missed your call in the first place.

So glad I can sift through these voicemails quickly and easily now. iPhone <3

one of my biggest pet peeves is when I'm in the middle of something and I have to stop what I am doing to help someone else and they demand I do it immediately and get mad at me when I finish up what I'm in the middle of doing (or at least to a point where it'll be easy to pick up from afterwards)

Also, people who insist on having someone else text you a hundred times to get a hold of someone and they have your number and never bother getting a hold of you.

Phone shouters.

I come from a family of phone shouters.

People who don't text you back when you know they always have their phone with them and are constantly looking at it. Wtf mate?

People you want to talk *at* you and ignore anything you say that could actually add to the conversation. I literally just end up walking away.

Something that just happened to me that reminded me of this thread and prompted me to post here:

Condescending parents.

Condescending adults in general drive me nuts. I mean, condescending people in general bug me, but I put adults because it bothers me most when they're condescending as a result of their greater age. Like, I wanna sit there and be like, "Okay, sir. I understand that you're old enough to be my grandfather, but stfu and stop telling me how to do my job," or similar.

People who drive way too fast...is it really worth risking everyone on the road's lives just so you can get there a minute sooner? If its a life or death situation call an ambulance!!!

Names that are spelled weird because parents are trying to be all creative. I work in an elementary school and some of these kids names are insane and I can't figure out how to write them. Examples: Jessycka, Destineigh, Breighanna, Kemburly, Kristopfer

People spending money on crap they don't need (expensive hair styling, clothing, cable, etc.) when they cannot afford to pay their bills.

Parents who let their children run wild in crowded places or leave their kid strapped in the stroller and wander off someplace they cannot even see the stroller from for a while. I saw this happen way too many times when I worked at the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History and had to call security a couple of times because of stupid parents.

I hate when my mom and sis leave the TV on when they're not using it. It's such a waste!!

I hate when my dad butters his toast and gets crumbs in the butter and doesn't clean them out.

I hate that my roomie stays up till 3 am doing her homework cuz she procrastinates all day and she's wicked loud and bangs on the table out of frustration and types so loudly.

I agree with these ones.

It bothers me so much when people leave crumbs in the butter!!! Like what if someone puts toast crumbs in the butter, but then I want to put some butter on my green beans, but I get toasty crumb butter on my green beans and it is just icky!
