I'm just procrastinating on studying for my last exam, so I thought I'd share something with all of you... my apartment's rules Every time we feel a new rule is a must, we write it on a notepad, tear it off, and stick it to the fridge.

1) Don't talk about fight club.
2) Do NOT talk about fight club.
3) DO not talk about talking about fight club.
4) No talking to your parents.
5) Nudity is not only accepted, but encouraged.
6) Always finish your drinks.
7) You must hate Tom at all times.
8 ) You must LOVE Swimmington at all times.
9) Shots will be played whenever possible (and sometimes even when it's impossible).
10) No roommate will finish an assignment more than two hours before it's due.
11) "Goldfish friends are friends forever!" Live it. Love it. Own it.
12) McDonald's always comes before class.
13) Any and all symptoms will be immediately blamed on pregnancy.
14) Mrs. Dash is a person too.
15) Breaking rules is encouraged. Except for #1 and #2. Fight club is not to be fucked with.
16) Hiding in Jess' closet is prohibited, from 1pm to 6pm.
17) No Toms allowed.
18) Any and all diets will start tomorrow.
19) Any and all playlists must contain Bed of Roses... twice.
20) Jess is officially the most useless apartment member.
21) Do your dishes by the end of the day.
22) Thou shalt not get unnecessarily angry about sport teams at any time.

Some explanations:
Tom is our landlord
We love goldfish crackers, hence the Swimmington and goldfish references
Every time we go to health services, they assume we're pregnant
Every time one of us mentions a diet, we finish the spiel with "I'll start tomorrow." It never happens.
Bed of Roses was a song that my one roommate and I heard being played while our other roommate and our friend were... *ahem* "going at it". We creeped out her iTunes later, and she has a playlist entitled "Bedtime..."
I'm not sure why I'm useless. That just appeared there.
Same with the sport teams one.


...And now back to studying -.-

Yeah I have no idea. I'm pretty sure I enter some induced state when I'm up late at night, because I really do start spouting crazy.

So I wanna hear peoples thoughts on Long Distance Relationships!!

About a month ago, I moved three provinces away from my boyfriend who I had only been with 2 months prior to movin out here. (I moved from Ottawa, ON to Calgary, AB). Things have been goin alright, but I often find myself paranoid as to what he's up to. Like this mornin, he went out last night and never texted me... we ALWAYS text eachother at least to say goodnight, and last night nothing. And then this morn he finally texted me and I never mentioned anything really, and he got all on the defensive side...

"How was your night babe" - me
"Pretty good, it was eff'd!!" - him
"Good eff'd or bad eff'd?" - me
"You know you're the only one who gets to eff me" - him

It was kinda weird cause I didn't even mention anything like that? And then he goes on to talk about how there was alot of hotties there but he went home alone....

I dunno I just feel like he is tryin to cover something up.

Alot of people have told me that LDR's don't work for that reason... paranoia sets in, arguments and fights become often and intense... we've had a few tiffs, and its hard to put all the time and effort into it when u don't get that physical or intimacy elements of a relationship, its like why put the effort into it?

We're gonna be apart for at least 7 months....

What do y'all think?

Honestly, it's hard to tell. LDRs are more difficult, but not impossible. I have some friends whose boyfriends/girlfriends live a couple hours away, and things have been fine, even though they don't get to see each other much. The only incident I know of a further distance is one of my good friends moved from Germany to Canada, and her boyfriend was still there. The distance wasn't working well for them, so when she went over to visit people, she broke up with him, and he started beating her until the cops arrived

My school newspaper published an article a few weeks ago about LDRs and how to keep them going. Skype was a favourite mentioned in the little quotes and stories by students that they asked.

the problem imo with long distance relationships is that when you want to be with them, be near them, spend REAL time with them... they are too far away and you begin to miss them and then become sad.... and needy.... and it always ends after that. lol

Ya thats kinda whats goin on right now... there is alot of stress on the relationship just cause of the simple facts of what u just described Mandie...

And the worst part is i've already been on several dates since I got here... and even went too far with one guy... So now I'm all guilty about bein unfaithful....

I kinda want to end it, but hes comin out here in a week and spending a week here. I'm so conflicted, I dunno what to do.... I'm just sad all the time!!

Wait till he comes out to visit, spend the week with him, try to enjoy it .... once he leaves.....then you can decide if this is someone you want to make it work with or someone that you think it would be best to move on and save a friendship.

My 3 months will be this Friday on Christmas. My girlfriend lives in the next state over just a little over an hour away. But we both work weird hours as well, so we try and see each other at least once a week, work permitting. We have a pretty good relationship And there hasn't been any reason for either of us to cheat on each other - not to mention she lives in a town where all her friends sleep with each other, so sure, the thought has entered my mind that there's always that possibility of one drunken unfortunate night, but I trust her not to do that. And if it did happen, I would trust her to tell me rather than hide it from me.

She's sleeping in my guest bedroom right now. SNUGGLE TIMEZ.

I sit on MSN, YAHOO and AIM all day and no one says hi..... yet people tell me, "mandie you never come on" lol
