Werewolf Season 8 - Day 2 - Double Trouble! Empty
PostSubject: Werewolf Season 8 - Day 2 - Double Trouble!   Werewolf Season 8 - Day 2 - Double Trouble! EmptyTue May 10, 2011 1:04 am

It was apparent that Little Red Riding Hood was saddened by the loss of her dear friend Termy.

"Oh my, he was so nice and hard working. He always stopped to smile, even when he was very busy with his work. . . "

"WE MUST GET REVENGE!" one man had shouted. Soon there were shouts and cheers. "THIS TIME WE WILL LYNCH TWO PEOPLE!!!!!"

"little red riding hood, we are sorry for lynching a dear friend of yours, but this time, we promise to get those evil doers!"

The group had gathered around to comfort the young lady all concerned for her well being. It was not sooner that some of the people had taken Termy's body and set to
work burying it, away from sensitive eyes.

As the sun set, the group began their travels back to the town, in hopes to get the sick relative into safety and help protect Red's mother.

"it is late, we should rest here" The group had agreed and one by one the travelling companions had began to drift into the world of slumber along the dangerous wooded areas.

As we all know very well, it is never a good idea to close your eyes around people you do not trust, and with that, the nightly activities prevailed. . . . .

No sooner had the group fallen asleep, did the sun start poking through the tree tops. . . . . as everyone opened their eyes.... it was apparent that the night had. . .. . .

Not Claimed anyone!

"WHAT happened?!?!?!?!?!"

Well my friends, that is where you now need to start figuring it out!

Let us continue the story with you.

Night 1: No One
Day 2: ??????????????????

SICK RELATIVE: 3 GAME Days Remain

DEADLINE: DAY 2 LYNCH 1 May 15th 2011, Time 23:59EDT 5 Days
Remaining Alive 16: Majority 9 to lynch

Votes:

Pending Votes:
Brant, virtuanno, derB, Deetster, Tiffani, Staciekins, Boyd, JJ, Kyle, Kenya, Cam, Dragonbunny, Mandie, Tanisha, Dragonldy640, Santos

Reminder: If you are dead. You may no longer talk in thread or in pvt to anyone about the game. Smile Thank you in advance!

Here is how the double lynch will work.

1. If it is a tie, both parties will be lynched 8 Votes each
2. If there is not a tie and 9 people vote for one person. All power roles ((including werewolves)) skip a night round and we move into the second lynch
3. If a majority cannot be made ((9 votes)) by deadline, then it will be the person with the most votes who dies, we skip night round and move into the 2nd lynch
4. On the 2nd lynch, it will be majority votes again ((8 votes)) if 8 votes cannot be made, then it will be the one with most votes who dies.

2 lynches Must be made, no lynches are not possible with this twist ((after all you villagers are out for blood!!! you lynched incorrectly you want revenge)) This is double trouble.

Everyone who can speak with each other at night, must stop speaking to each other in pvt, only communication in this thread is allowed.

PostSubject: Re: Werewolf Season 8 - Day 2 - Double Trouble!   Werewolf Season 8 - Day 2 - Double Trouble! EmptyTue May 10, 2011 1:15 am

Oh wow nobody was killed, what the heck? So what I gather from this is.. either they purposely killed nobody.. or one of them didn't turn in a name???? Maybe they couldn't agree.. interesting.

So how to go about this round, what have we learned from the first round?

I think I'm gonna take a stab here.. I'm totally pulling a Brant here with this theory.. but hey I have concerns.. Boyd is the ONLY one that hasn't signed on the board since before Thian even posted the night phase.. so does that possibly mean that he could be evil and didn't send in his night action causing them to kill nobody? It's very possible.. sure he could have done it on aim but does Boyd even have aim? I have no idea.. but yes I"m going to go ahead and go with this theory to start of this round.

I vote for Boyd. Of course my vote can change, more than likely it will but we gotta get the ball rolling somewhere.. I need answers man!!!

We don't have a person that could have blocked them, like the prostitute or anything.

I'm tempted to follow this train of thought that Boyd is a threat, unless he can prove he has an AIM.

Here's the votes for last round, just in case anyone wants to see them:

VOTES:

Dragonlady640: 2 Votes of 9
- Termy, Tanisha
Deetster: 1 vote of 9 - Santos
Termy: 9 vote of 9 -Tiffani, Mandie, BatCam, Staciekins, Dragonldy640, Sir Boydly Boydster, Jackie, Brant, Kenya
Staciekins: 1 vote of 9 - derB
Virtuanno: 1 Vote of 9 - Dragonbunny

Pending Votes: 3 Votes Pending
Virtuanno, Kyle, Deetster

We're all still alive! So awesome! Smile

Thank you, Virtuanno, for checking in to share your thoughts. I would like to hear more from Kyle and Santos because I really do think some of the UTR players are evil roles, quite possibly the Enchanter and the Sorcerer.

Kenya, that's a really good theory about Boyd. Granted I'm still suspicious of you, but Termy being clear helped lessen my suspicion a little. I'd like to hear some defense from Boyd on the matter. I also would like to hear from Jackie and anyone who was an evil role with Boyd in Jackie's game to hear how he communicated when he was an evil role with them. Also, any thoughts on this, Mandie?

An intentional no-lynch is perhaps possible if the wolves wanted to confuse us, possibly frame someone like Boyd, or not risk killing the Enchanter or Sorcerer. Unlikely, but we can't rule that out either.

Also, while unfortunate that he was not an evil role, I think lynching Termy and discovering he was the Lycan was a good result in that our seer can no longer get a false positive when investigating someone. If they show up as guilty, they're evil. Plus we're a more active group now. Smile

PostSubject: Re: Werewolf Season 8 - Day 2 - Double Trouble!   Werewolf Season 8 - Day 2 - Double Trouble! EmptyTue May 10, 2011 10:16 am

Well, these results are definitely interesting....but then again this is the third game I think I've been a part of with no night kill on the first night so it's starting to be the rule and not the exception, lol.

Sorry for lynching you, Termy. Sad At least it removes the confusion about the Lycan for the Seer, though. [I just saw Brant's post saying the same thing as I was typing this so yeah, I agree, Brant.] And the good thing is we still have both Seers to help us.

I think it's possible that there was inactivity by the Wolves, but it could have been strategy. Like Brant pointed out, maybe the Wolves were too afraid of killing off the Enchanter or Sorcerer. The only problem with that theory is, aren't they just afraid of lynching them accidentally during the day? My guess would be an inactive Wolf since I think a deliberate no kill makes no sense with so many unknowns already in the game.

While I think it's very possible that Boyd has an evil role and that could be the answer, I'd be surprised that he would make a mistake like not sending. Brant, in answer to your question, Boyd used PMs in my Mafia game. I am pretty sure he does have an AIM, though, because I think I added him last game, just never used it. People can certainly change up their methods, styles, etc, though. Maybe Boyd has Thian's phone number and the ability to call in his decisions, lol. We have no idea. Plus, this is a different game and people could change up their methods, styles, etc.

For now, I'd like to hear from the three non-voters:

Virtuanno
, you are quick to point to inactivity as the reason for a no kill. What was your reason for not voting last round?

Kyle, you said you didn't think it was necessary to lynch on Day 1 and now we have a no kill, possibly on purpose. Could you have been afraid to both lynch and kill because of the unknown identities out there?

Deetster, I believe you said you were for a lynch but didn't end up voting. Why?

PostSubject: Re: Werewolf Season 8 - Day 2 - Double Trouble!   Werewolf Season 8 - Day 2 - Double Trouble! EmptyTue May 10, 2011 10:32 am

For serious? This is like, the fourth game in a row with a first night no-kill! Not by any means a bad thing, but day one has really been hell on the baddies at this site lately! Very Happy

I am betting this time, they purposely didn't kill. Just a hunch, but with so many people, keeping us in the dark and not leaving any kind of trail would give us less to go on this round. Also with so many people, I am betting they are not so much in a rush to off everyone, and would rather play it safe and let the town make the mistakes. On top of that, we need to lynch two people. Therefore, I feel that the no-kill was a calculated risk.

Also, I feel it is likely that only one wolf helped with the lynch. I am betting with so many people in the game, they felt no need to group themselves up, and instead depended on the many uninformed townies to do their dirty work for them.

(This reasoning is muddled, I know, if you need clarification please ask. I feel like I rushed it, because, in my head, it makes sense and needs no more explanation.)

Dragonbunny
Do you still suspect Virtuanno?

Stacie
How do you feel about Termy being innocent? Do you have any thoughts on the prospect of a double-lynch this round?

Brant
As much as it sucks that it had to be Termy (he has no luck with roles) you are right that it was probably the best of a bad situation, of the innocent roles to lynch. However, I can't help but wonder if you are trying to justify the lynch since your name is attached to it. You also talked a lot about being targeted early on, or dying early. Should I be more wary of you the longer you live?

Boyd
What are your thoughts regarding the ideas that you caused the no-kill, since it is not apparent that you have AIM and have not signed in since last round?

More to come soon hopefully, but I just got offa work and need a little chill time.

Lol no kill! Regarding the idea of the wolves not wanting to kill...I don't think they would do that. I don't think I've been in a game yet where that's been the case. At least every time I've been evil it's been kill kill kill because well...that's the goal, haha. To get rid of people so you win.

This double lynch twist is interesting in that we MUST get rid of 2 players.

Thian, you said if a majority is not reached, then the player with the most votes is lynched. What if no one votes? Laughing

Dragonldy
You stated last round that you trusted Mandie's judgement. Now that you have helped her to lynch an innocent person, what is going through your mind? Do you attach yourself to friends in these games in the hopes they will defend you? Were you planning on blaming Mandie for the lynch when Termy's role was revealed?

I think as long that as I stay alive, it means one of 4 things:

1) The wolves have a better reason to kill someone else. (not applicable last night since no one died)
2) The wolves are disorganized. (possible)
3) The wolves believe that I may be the Enchanter or the Sorcerer. (possible, but I'm not)
4) My presence is beneficial for the wolves. (possible)

I signed up for this game thinking I'd be an early night kill because I no longer have the cushion of being a new player (who the wolves usually leave alone for the longevity of the Werewolf series) and I don't have the cushion of having an evil role, which I found out after it started. I'm bound to be a night kill eventually, and I've decided to shift my playing style to being focused and aggressive acknowledging that I could be killed and not really worrying about it. The game is MUCH more fun this way, even if it only lasts a round or two.

As I also mentioned last round, I do believe that by playing this way, I'm planting a target on my back and, if I'm not night killed, will be lynched in a few rounds. I don't think you should be more wary of me the longer that I'm alive, but players without investigative roles likely will become more wary, and that could actually lead to me being kept alive longer because the quotes I made last round could be used against me for an easier lynch to protect the evil roles later in the game. Maybe.

By the end of the day or early tomorrow once we hear some more thoughts, I'll be voting. And since option 4 is possible and the wolves potentially keep me alive because I'm going after the wrong people like has been done in the past, I'll be sure to keep that in mind and play with my targets each round that I'm alive to be as unpredictable as possible. Also, even if Termy was one of our Seers, I'd totally be justifying my decision to start the vote for him because there was no way of us to know that based on the way he was playing, and he was so inactive and out of the loop that he probably wouldn't have been able to help us much anyway due to his power issues. It's unfortunate for him, but I think in my head, we lynched the best possible person for a Day 1 type situation. Now as we shift towards Day 2, it's time to shift from a helpfulness/activity target to more towards suspicion-based target.

Although that doesn't give anyone a free pass for not contributing. Wink

Jackie's avatar is questionable.. questionably delicious!! Maybe she's putting it out as a trap for the wolves muahahaha.

I wonder how active everyone will be this round. Hopefully we have no more inactive people. But I still think it's dangerous to have people that only jump on a vote and that's it.. that's what they do every round.. they don't start any votes.. they don't ask any questions. Those things bother me.. even if they just randomly throw out a vote to get people talking it does help. But when they just wait and vote for whoever majority is going towards.. it's like.. what's the point? It does make me feel like maybe they are wolves and just purposely making their strategy sound like followers.

I do seriously believe one of the wolves didn't send anything in. Mainly because it doesn't even make sense not to. Also even if Boyd called Thian to send in a night action that doesn't clear him of being evil.. like before Brant cleared Jackie and PhocQ was it? Because they hadn't logged in the board.. this isn't about clearing him.. this is about noticing he hasn't been on but yet their was no night kill. This situation is different, so why would it matter if he had other means to contact Thian. He wouldn't need to contact Thian if he is innocent.

I figure either he is innocent or another role he contacted Thian elsewhere, but the only reason it points to him being evil is because there was no night kill. Also how can the wolves try to frame him by agreeing not to kill anyone? They didn't know he wasn't going to sign in the board all this time. How can anyone predict something like that.

I would also like to hear more from Virt.. I know he's been way more talkative in past games.. I don't get why he's so quiet in this one.. do you have something to hide Virt?

My point with Boyd was that just because he didn't sign on, he probably had other avenues of communicating. So, if it was someone that didn't send, it could have been someone who did sign onto the board. Maybe they forgot about the deadline, maybe they thought they'd have time to send at the last minute and then just didn't get back on in time. I'm not saying it's not possible Boyd is a wolf and didn't send, just saying if the reason there was not a kill was because of not sending, it could have been anyone.

And, glad you like my delicious avatar, lol. I was really tired of looking at a guy with no head. Werewolf Season 8 - Day 2 - Double Trouble! 35478
