Anyone? I love it, I can't seem to get enough! Love the manga and FMA: Brotherhood.

Which full series did you watch? The original with the Dante character, or the newer Brotherhood? I totally cheated and skipped ahead with the Japanese (English captions) Youtube episodes for Brotherhood, just couldn't wait.

Both series were great; Brotherhood just follows the whole manga series much more closely (and I gotta say has a much better climax, but leaves a lot less for you to consider as far as 'after the story' goes). Nobody else I know watches/reads this, forgive my blathering Razz

They are both excellent, but eventually they develop different "Flavors". The original series has a lot more ethos going for it, like there is a greater sense of connectivity or something like more of a family feeling. The character relations are inherently closer considering the Homonculi and their origins- while for Brotherhood they have a different back story, for the first few episodes, the shows are nearly one in the same, but they both go entirely different directions when Greed shows up.

I got SUPER confused when they started having the alternate world/time period episodes.

They were kind of setting up for the movie with that, the alternate world from Amestris is supposed to be our world with people who are doppelgangers, like there is an Amestris and our world 'version' of Ed, and both worlds are kind of like portals into another... when both versions die, their souls switch sides and are born again with no memories of their past, which is why human transmutation creates a homonculus, it drags both souls onto one plane and forms them into a different being...? the italic part is speculation on my part, but I think it works...
