Oh, and it's even worse when paired with "No offense". If someone has to say they mean no offense, they're likely saying something offensive, or else it would have been obvious that no offense was implied.
Or perhaps I'm just angsty today and in the minority, lol | |

| Well, if you're offended by constructive criticism, then the person isn't being constructive at all....so really, they just fail.
As for "no offense," yeah; there are VERY few situations where this isn't completely ass-backwards. | |

| I've been thinking today, and I think I just hate the term "constructive criticism". If someone is all "I have a suggestion for you!" I'd happily accept it. I love hearing other people's ideas and opinions. But when someone tells me that they have "constructive criticism" for me, I feel that they're basically saying they have things to criticize me on, but will tell me how to fix it instead.
I'm just a doormat. I don't like being criticize at all, no matter how constructive, lmao | |

| I think you're being too sensitive about a term, lol. A "suggestion" and "constructive criticism" could (and pretty much are) be the exact same thing.

| lmao, I'm totally over-sensitive. I never denied that  But as for my writing, I got through writing critiques by giving my novel to friends to proofread it, who never ended up doing so, and having friends promise to buy it, who never ended up doing so. No one will read it in the first place, so I can't get critiqued, lol | |
