I just sounded so insanely gay on the phone. I was calling back my local Fire Dept, trying to reschedule a test, and I did the "upward inflection question-statement".
What I said was, "Call me back and we'll talk about it?" It wasn't even meant to sound like a question. It sounded so stereotypically gay. Now the fire dept. is gonna discard my application because they'll be like GAY ALERT! Yeah, they say they don't discriminate, but oh boy do they ever. One of my friends was turned away because he's White Irish. They get TONS of applications from people in that demographic. They even told him to his face that that's why he got denied. They could be taken to court over that.
Anyway, I'm know I'm overreacting, but I just thought it was funny that I actually caught myself "talking gay". I swear I normally sound straight.
