| First of all, does anyone actually LIKE going? I had an appointment today... I always dread going because I still have my wisdom teeth. But alas, everything was fine. I am 23 and they say my wisdom teeth are almost all grown in with no complications. Hmm... that's good news I guess. | |

| That's GREAT news! Most people have to get them taken out, so be happy. | |

| I had never been to a dentist in my life up until a year ago. My wisdom teeth came in fine ,but the problem was, since I never been to the dentist my wisdom teeth had really been so bad because my tooth brush couldn't get under a certain part of my tooth. Well, needless to say it hurt like hell!!! and I had to have an emergency extraction. I thought it would be terrible, but really, it wasn't that bad at all. They put a needle in, they didn't even let me look at the needle they kept me distracted. Numbed my face and then, a lil squish / crack later ((which you do hear a bit of a crack or crunch noise)) and out it came. Honestly a cavity that is really deep that pain is so horrid. As soon as that tooth was out, there was no pain at all. Then about 2 weeks later, I had the rest of my wisdom teeth removed. I didn't have a problem with that at all, they put me under deep anesthesia, when I woke up, I wanted to take everyone out to dinner! and kept thanking everyone. I got angry that people wanted to help me walk. My amazing teeth were so awesome to look at afterwards! The healing process, is not that bad as everyone makes it out to be. The pain is just like a muscle ache, when you work out a lot. My experience was decent really. | |

| hm lets see...
I had 6 baby teeth removed when I was like 12 because they wouldnt fall out. They tried knocking me out with sleeping gas but I was so freaked out that I had to come back another time after taking sedatives in order to pull them
I've had my tonsils and adnoids out
Then I had to go to a periodontist, because the little muscle attached between the lower gums and lower lip was making the gum on one of my teeth recede, so they cut the muscle, shaved a piece of the roof of my mouth off and sewed it to my lower gums to protect my teeth.
i had a twin block to move my jaw forward, and then i had braces for a while, and a retainer.
and i think the last thing i had done was i had all 4 wisdom teeth out at once, they were all impacted (under the gum) and i had to be knocked out for that too.
woo go me! *smiles* | |

| I wish I could grow more wisdom teeth, just to be knocked out for those, get them taken out again, and get more percocets. | |

| I had braces for 2 years and what not.. and then I got all 4 wisdom teeth taken out while they were still in the gums but my dentist gave me a choice he said i could go under and have someone else do it or he could do it for me while I was awake. The thought of going under scared the shit outta me, especially since I would never meet the person that was gonna do it! So I did it awake and it wasn't too bad actually.. no pain worse than the braces | |

| -Most of my baby teeth came out unnaturally (a handful pulled, dog knocked out one, sister knocked another out, etc) -About a thousand retainers (kept throwing them out when I dumped the trash off my lunch tray, oops) -One permanent retainer (couldn't throw that one out, lol) -Braces (turquoise ftw) -Chipped front teeth (was blowing up a balloon, fainted ) -2 cavities in my lifetime (most recent was just a few weeks ago, stupid acid reflux that I apparently have even though I don't know I have it because it's inexplicable) Once when I was getting 3 teeth pulled at once (ugh), they gave me laughing gas because they do that for kiddos. So you're in a semi-awake state. I hallucinated like mad. The walls were moving all around, and they were rainbow colored. It was so trippy. Definitely experienced what it felt like to be drunk afterwards too, my dad thought it was hilarious, even if he didn't show it. | |

| I don't mind the dentist but I've had some really bad dentist and some really great dentist too. I've had a root canal and two teeth pulled, and a couple fillings. Then I had all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed at the same time. When I got my wisdom teeth out they were impacted really badly, they were worried that it was too close to my naval cavity or whatever and then another was hitting a nerve, I was awake for the entire surgery and the sounds were creepy and the feelings even though I was numb I could sorta feel it. When he started work on the one hitting the nerve though (which was the last one out) I wanted to scream, it made my head feel like it was being split in two, he gave me more novocaine and numbed my face so much my eye went numb, which is the absolute weirdest feeling in the world, and it still didn't remove the pain but it did help. Once it was out though, it felt like my head was just relaxing and it felt good. | |

| I haaate going to the dentist. So. Much.
I'm sure some of you recall that time I had four dentist appointments in three days -- one of them was for a surprise root canal.
And I need to get my wisdom teeth out...not because there's anything wrong with them now, but because my dentist is confident that there will be something wrong with them soon if I don't get em out. I think it's a conspiracy. She's been tryin t'get them bitches out for years now. | |
