So. Jess and I are members of this club that I just started and didn't tell her she joined until just now.
Who else wants to watch and comment on what will probably be one of the most ridiculous shows ever made?

They should just figure out a way to trace their texts. Then they would find what crazy person was sending them messages. Done.
Also the line about the teacher being hot made me laugh.

Well the police could do it in a second, but they can't tell the police because they need to protect their SECRETS!!!!!!!!
All those girls, those dirty little liars, their vaginae (thanks Jess!) are FILLED with secrets.

oh my god....THIS SHOW...it's so filled with Secrets. I swear to God, the first scene of the show (after the set up scene which is a flashback) has a girl waking up, coming downstairs and her dad is there and he says "Hello." and she says "DON'T WORRY DAD, I'M STILL KEEPING YOUR SECRET!!!!"
I almost died. It really set the tone for the rest of the episode, which was ABSURD!!!!!! Oh my god...oh my god...I want to watch it again so that I can keep a running commentary. I might do that tonight at work. Holy shit. SECRETS!

I am all caught up on this ridiculous fucking show now. I have such weird opinions on it because it's not what I expected.
A) It is the exact right amount of ridiculous that I would recommend it to anyone to watch, really, like it's fun and frivolous and I enjoy it.
B) It is surprisingly competent. Three of the four main girls are actual 2 dimensional characters that I find interesting. No other characters on the show really have that appeal but I'm surprised those 3 do. Especially Hannah, she has subtleties to her character and everything.
C) Somehow this show more than any like 'horror' movie or whatever with the exact same plot are presenting everything at the correct 'level' if you know what I mean. The girls' reactions to what is happening to them isn't too over the top and they aren't writing it off as something stupid, they are exactly as concerned about it as they should be. Even all the little things that are happening I feel like everything is written at the appropriate emotional levels. It's very surprising.

I watched the last episode. The whole 'in the closet' thing was actually quite frightening. Like before I just felt there was a stupidity about the whole A-Plot surrounding the girls and their stalker...but that kind of hit it home in a much creepier way. I liked that a lot.
What's more the way they resolved that paper stealing was hilarious and unexpected. They keep surprising me with the competency of all the personal stories the girls are going through, like even Piper not flipping out and freezing time to put her daughter in an embarrassing pose when she found out she was lying to her was very unexpected.
