Our LGBT organization is throwing a prom

...and I don't want to go.

1. I don't have anyone to bring, and I don't want to ask someone just to have someone there.
2. I hate dancing unless it's with someone I feel comfortable enough with to throw my inhibitions to the wind.
3. It's gonna be poorly organized and planned, because the people in charge are morons.
4. There's no food.
5. There are no games.
6. It'll probably be dramatic and awkward, because we just had elections last night and emotions ran high.


But I have to go, because I'm an executive board member...I think I'm going to sneak off.

Or bring a flask.

Flask it up. Who knows maybe some hunk will show up, and you'll be glad you went

Our group, Allies & Queers, had an event like this. But it was a Drag Ball. Guys as girls, girls as guys. I only went once but it was a pretty good time.

Believe me. None of my kind of hunks are showing up here...

I was a part of the Womens' Center at my university, and we asked The Rainbow Center if they wanted to help us do a big formal event (both centers were part of the Diversity Center, so it wasn't uncommon for joint events), but they said no, because since we weren't all lesbians, so they didn't want us there...

I was rather disappointed. They weren't very nice to us.

But but but, this is rather offtopic, but after that, my friends and I went to a gay club, since the people there are WAY nicer than the people at other clubs, and now my best friend is convinced I'm a lesbian because of that
