He has some kind of handheld thing, because he is holding it and at the end he talks to it. He probably didn't understand it at all, and just heard that he wasn't allowed to dance. And he was sad.

My favorite is the girl in the middle, because she was just angry, but like, not at the father or the kid, just that her good time dancing to single ladies was ruined.
