My professor has a boner for his cell phone

Okay, so the title was clearly meant to catch your attention.

Anyway, I was giving a presentation today on Feminism and Science Fiction in my sci-fi class, and it was already totally ruined by my professor's idiotic interjections (he has no concept of feminism or what is okay to say in a public forum and what isn't), and all of a sudden I hear a dog barking. This jackass pulls out his phone, looks at me with a lovely grin and says "oh, that's me!" so I was like, "okay..." and e answers it! While I'm presenting! Not an emergency, didn't even sound important. Didn't tell the person that he was in a class, nothing.

I just kept presenting to the horrified people in the class while he talked for like three minutes. I had no idea what else to do...

What an ass.

What a dick. That SO rude. My profs give us a death stare if our phone just vibrates too loud. lol

You should have taken it away and told him he'd get it back at the end of class.

I once had a prof yell at me because I turned on my laptop, and it made that little start-up noise.

HA! Mo, that woulda been priiiiceless. I think the class would have applauded.

That's probably the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard. You should have waited and been like....."can I start now?" when he was finished.

Whenever I had to run a class I always treated the teacher like a student or pretended to be them or something, it usually got the teacher mad in a playful way where they'd be like "Youuuuuuuuuu!!!" and wag their finger and then laugh a little.

It was literally the only enjoyment I ever got out of school.

Omg that's horrible. I probably would have said something to be honest. That's one of the rudest things ever.

And yeah, my profs always had rules about cell phones. Mainly that they simply weren't to be used in class.
