The fan on my graphics card broke

WTF.

So now I can't use it. I suppose it's not THAT big a deal, since I only bought it for one game that I haven't played in a long time...but still. If I can replace the fan, great. If not, I'm gonna be pissed about having to buy a new graphics card...

That's ridiculous, how'd you figure out that happened anyway, HAHA!

My display kept flipping out, so I knew something was wrong. It took me about five days to figure it out. Finally, as I was poking around my desktop, I grabbed the graphics card to take it out (I figured maybe it was just loose), and it burned my finger. It was fucking hot! So I carefully put it back in, turned the computer on, and noticed that the fan wasn't working...

It's stupid.

I'm fascinated by people who can take apart computers. I just kick it and go "I think it's dead."

That's cuz you have a Mac...

Well also it's a laptop, those really do just work until they die, I've never had a situation with any laptop that was 'fixable'

or at least without the "but it will cost just as much to get a new one" tacked on at the end.

That's true.

I coulda fixed my old iBook, but it cost more than half of what it would've cost to get a new Mac, and about twice as much as the computer I'm currently using...hence the desktop PCness of my computer.
