| Hey all! I suppose we'll get this going then! If you're comfortable posting your weight, go ahead and weigh in and let us know. Those who want to keep it private, just wait until the end of the week, and post your progress. We'll be measuring competitively using percentages, but it'll be interesting to know harder numbers too It's all about what you're comfortable with Keep track of exercises, times, diets, etc. It'll be fun to share info. This week we'll start off with some really easy tasks. Feel free to try em out, but don't feel obligated. Let us know if you do them, or let us know why you didn't: - Work out at least two times this week (no specifics on what or where) - Begin a journal of your eating habits - Walk somewhere close instead of driving (it totally doesn't count if you generally walk there) - Skip dessert - Don't eat in between meals for a day (or all week!) So without further ado... LET'S BEGIN! | |

| Yay! Beginning Weight: 166 TasksWork out at least two times this week Begin a journal of your eating habits Walk somewhere close instead of driving Skip dessert Don't eat in between meals for a day (or all week!) For my journals I use sparkpeople.com ... its a free website that has a database for the nutritional facts for almost everything you eat. Its easy to just click on the stuff that I ate each day and it measures protien, fat, and carbs as well as calories! It also has some cool work out videos and other stuff... and if you join be my friend!! | |

I should be doing it right now. It's still playing. But I gave up during the cha-cha.... anyways, back to work now -.-

| Well, here's my initial weigh in: 230 lbs. I'm actually surprised, because when I came home for break, I was 240. That means I've lost about 2.5 pounds a week since last semester ended. What're my plans for this competition? Well, this coincides with the new semester, and one of my resolutions was to preserve my meal plan. This, along with a couple dentist's orders, means that I'm cutting out pop/soda and sports drinks from my diet. My liquids will be pretty much nothing more than water and juice, since I don't drink coffee. Another thing this coincides with is my attempt to spend this semester as a vegetarian. A friend of mine recently went veg again, and I thought I would too. I'm sure this'll make a big difference; a friend of mine went vegetarian and that alone helped him to shed the pounds. Finally, me and Zach have made plans to go to the Rec center here on campus three times a week. Hopefully we'll keep that one up. It's gonna be rough. Last time I did that, it didn't last more than a month... I'm going to ask them how many times I've swiped into the Rec, and then I'll make a goal accordingly. So what've I done so far? Well, I actually haven't consciously done anything from the list yet, lol. If I skipped dessert, it wasn't because I chose to, so I won't mark that off yet, but I'll start my journal now: Breakfast:- Omelet with spinach and green peppers - Water Lunch:- Curly fries - Quizno's veggie sub (small) - Soda mixture (I'm weird and I mix them...I suppose this'll be the last time I do that...) Dinner:- Potatoes - Asparagus - A dinner roll - Water Other:- Some various candy left from Christmas - A Hershey's Bliss bar...I meant to eat half...but I ate the whole thing :\ - A peanut butter and jelly sandwich I also have an iPhone app that I'm considering using, and there's another I'm looking at acquiring. I've also used a calorie counter in the past that was actually extremely affective, so if the apps don't cut it, I might go back to that. I'm kinda excited about this...which is weird, because I'm terrified of being thin...

6'1. And I'm not doing this to shed an omg amount of pounds. I'm using this as a tool to track my progress of getting in shape. And to monitor my weight because I certainly don't want to be gaining poundage. Muscle - Fat =

| My user name is ASCHMID3 on sparkpeople... I did the biggest loser workout on Wii again today. My legs cannot fully extend anymore!!! ouch! Jessie... don't buy a scale! Go to the rec!!! the cheap scales at walmart are usually wrong (I know, I have owned 2) and the one at the rec is in the locker room tucked in a private little corner. Much cheaper and much more accurate (((( I am assuming you go to kent yes?)))) plus then you don't really have an excuse not to work out, your at the rec already. I want to go vegetarian again too! Make it a goal. | |

Naw, not if you make sure you're still getting protein. I went vegetarian cold turkey and felt better than before, lol.

| I just walked home from a gelata cafe, where I go often to do some writing. I always bus it, but in order to complete these tasks, I walked. Took me 18 minutes. I was actually surprised. It seems like so much further on the bus. I think I'll walk there more often, as long as the weather isn't trying to KILL me.

| I'll have to figure out where to walk. I was going to walk to the bookstore across campus today (it's about a 15 minute walk), but someone else wanted to come, and they drove.
Vegetarianism is still on.
BREAKFAST: - Peanut butter and Jelly sandwich - Water
LUNCH: - Penne pasta with broccoli and alfredo sauce - Breadstick - Water
DINNER: - Spinach rollotini (it's like a rolled up lasagna) - Breadstick - Even more water!!
OTHER (I'm doing very poorly at the eating outside of meals task...): - 4 Oatmeal/raisin cookies - 2 cupcakes (CURSE MY BOSS FOR MAKING US FOOD FOR STAFF MEETINGS) - Baked Lays BBQ chips
TOMORROW I GO TO THE GYM!
