Shadowbrooke Diary Saturday, April 24, 1843
The morning had turned to afternoon as the sun climbed high into the sky. It seemed that the village now with the loss the seer had no hope. With the impending curse this village was now plagued with, the villagers headed towards the village square to nominate. The choice of who they wished to lynch to save the town from the werewolves that stalked the night loomed before them.
The night time visitor to the home of the Professor snuck back into the night and now mingled amongst the crowd and needed to be struck down before another innocent could be killed.
As the crowd moved towards the square, Alexander The Great knew right away who he was to nominate. “Oh Dear”, he paused as he passed the professors home. “Poor Mo Mo”. He stopped once again as he thought inwardly. “I was actually going to nominate him next”, He laughed at his own thought and turned back towards the square after his moment to think. “I think I’ll nominate Bryan as a werewolf”.
Vastfanatic awoke as she looked now frantically towards everyone. “AHHH WHO KILLED MO? First y’all lynched poor FaWa, and now someone killed MO.” After her outburst she calmed herself as best as she could but truth was spoken “I’m scared” Indeed she had every right to be nervous there were killers amongst the group. “I’m going to think about my vote for Bryan, but I will decide in a bit”
Upon hearing the mutters and accusations Bryan’s name was called by the one and only Alexander The Great. Furiously Bryan marched up to Alexander, “Belasen! You’re the one who nominated the seer, and I was the last vote that didn’t even matter.” He backed away from Alexander’s face to lay blame towards Alexander again. “You’ve also been the first to nominate both times with no reasoning. “ Bryan shouted towards the group. “I nominate Belasen aka Alexander”.
The group became more intense as fingers flew from Bryan to Alexander. It only took one person to second either nomination before the vote would occur. A pin could be heard dropping in the distance as Caligula stepped between Bryan and Alexander “It’s funny. Two people are pointing fingers at each other, but”, He paused to gain his thoughts. Caligula trying to reason with the lynching of a villager continued. “I tried to save the Seer, but no one else believed.” Caligula headed towards Bryan and turned to Alexander "I think regardless, wolf or not, if you are not a wolf Alexander, you are the villager that would deserve to be blamed for the misled decision. I second the nomination of Alexander."
The people parted to separate Alexander from the pack. Looking at the man who stood in silence he did not speak. Not one word. The villagers gave him opportunity to speak. Blank stares back and forth as people shuffled in awkward contemplation.
His silence began to set in as his statement of no argument. He, without words took to his role to begin the vote.
Pete stepped forward giving Alexander a once over. “I vote yes to lynch Alexander, he seems the most suspicious at this point”.
Vastfanatic was next to speak her mind and clear and concise as she was the first time her words were simply put. “I vote no”.
The village was split as Khufu came into view and just as Vastfanatic had been clear, Khufu supported the lynch “I vote to lynch”
With only Bryan and Caligula left to speak, Bryan took his stand, “I vote to Lynch as well”
With the final vote for the Majority Caligula’s vote would not matter the group advanced upon Alexander the Great and Lynched him, his body left lifeless in the village square just as they had done to the seer. Was this the best thing for the village?
As the crowd parted, their mouths dropped in shock. . . .
Indeed, Alexander The Great was a simple Villager.
The group stared in dismay, yet another villager succumbed to the group and the terrors that struck the night were still amongst everyone. The sun began to set as hearts began to pump in fear from the known doom someone was to feel upon them soon.
Villagers, it is now the night time phase no action is required of you.
Would werewolves please send me in your choice to kill.
