I hate the dentist.

It's awkward, and I have crappy teeth. Always have. Soft enamel or something, and it sucks.

Plus it's at 8:40 in the morning...

It sucked. I feel like I got raped in the mouth...except this hurt a lot more and involved a fat woman who wouldn't shut up.

Why couldn't it have been the semi-attractive guy who works there?

I like my dentist. My mom used to complain about him but last year our insurance changed and we had to go somewhere else and apparently they were worse [I didn't think they were any different, but I'm used to having strange people poking me in the mouth for long periods of time after 6 years of braces] and now we are back at my old dentist xD

Plus I can just zone out and kind of ignore them which apparently is a rare ability

I tried that so hard today! I figured that if I can do it for bloodwork and piercings/tattoos, I should be able to do it for the dentist. I even tried going into meditation mode. Unfortunately, my brain must not be quite strong enough...

I don't mind the dentist herself. She's nice. I just hate the process.

My dentist isnt too bad, I actually had to bring my brother there today! My only issue is when they expect you to have a full blown conversation with them while they have their fist in your mouth. I mean, yes and no answers are totally okay. the other thing I love about my dentists office is that they have TVs in all the rooms, so if your cleaning lady is too much you can zone her out or ignore her and focus on the tv.

I wish I'd brought my headphones today. That woulda been extremely helpful. They let us do that at my dentist, but for whatever reason I didn't think I'd need em today. Fail.
