| Well, I'll Have Another has won both the Kentucky Derby, and The Preakness Stakes. Of course, LOTS of horses have done that. In 3 weeks is the Belmont, a MONSTER of a race, so we'll see if he's got what it takes!
But I was the only one shouting he's got it, at the turn. I knew he had just enough room to beat Bodemeister. Im sure anyone who is reading this is like: what? Anyway....there hasn't been a triple crown winner in my lifetime, since 1978. So if I'll Have Another can actually do it, that's amazing folks.

| Horseracing is always exciting. But The Belmont runs June 9th, at around 4:15-4:30 EST in the afternoon. | |

| It's ok Mandie, but horse racing is thrilling. Have an uncle who's a horse trainer. It's....well, it can be a pretty seedy business really, because it's betting, and around casinos and all.....
While it's even MORE exciting live, to be screaming at the top of your lungs as they come down the home stretch with everyone else.......from the comfort of your own home, you don't have to deal with any of the sleazoid types who bet their paycheck at the races, and haven't seen a shower (or probably their kids back home who need 'em) in like a week.

| Well, in case anyone's been living under a rock.......last Saturday on June 6th, 2015, the world of horse racing finally got to end it's 37 year drought. Yeah, there hasn't been a Triple Crown winner in my life, very-likely not in the lifetime of at least a few people who might see this, until now. It's hard to win the Kentucky Derby, The Preakness, and The Belmont. Hard might be an understatement.
But American Pharoah did it. As a fairly avid fan, and horse racing is a bit in my family....the argument can be made that, there weren't a ton of good 3 year olds this year....meaning he didn't have a lot of competition, BUT....still kudos to him, his owner, jockey, and I guess the trainer (whom I intensely dislike).
The horse's name is misspelled because someone won an online contest to name the horse, and they misspelled Pharaoh. Go figure. How more AMERICAN can it get, than misspelling the name of the damned horse? Well....the Jockey Club took the submission precisely as it was, misspelled and all. They've since retired the name American Pharoah, and the correctly spelled American Pharaoh, as well. Hopefully this Triple Crown winner will renew excitement for the sport and we all won't have to wait another 37 years for the next one.

| I think it's cool that you are into horse racing.
When I was a kid, my grandfather and favorite uncle would drive from Dallas - I thought to Louisiana but it could have been further than that, to watch them live. My grandfather kept up with horse racing but I was too little to understand or enjoy it.
